This is the second time the presidential candidate has fostered the idea of beating up a protester in Nevada. Trump supporters physically assaulted a Black Lives Matters demonstrator at one of his Las Vegas rallies and were caught on tape yelling, “Light the !@#$%^&&& on fire!” and “Sieg hell!,” to which Trump later noted “maybe he should have been roughed up.”

The tens of millions that approve of his rhetoric and announced intentions probably disagree. Right now this nation is one grand Milgram Experiment, and everyone is rushing to turn their shock dial to eleven to prove they can be more punishing and cruel than the guy in the next cubicle.
So, here’s my question… When will Law & Order: SVU do a “ripped from the headlines” episode about a loud, racist, misogynist, incredibly offensive presidential candidate named Ronald Rump who’s rallies turn into damn near lynch mobs against protesters?

On the bright side, maybe we won’t have to worry about a whole slew of nibbling-at-the-heels Executive Orders. Just the One… that disbands Congress (which he would rightly claim is useless) and the Supreme Court (which he will rightly claim just splits 0-0 all the time once Congress has been done eviscerating it under Obama).
And we have not learned how to play the MSM as well as the GOP. I would like to dump all of this on DWS, but there is enough Democratic dysfunction to go around at all levels.
Like I said in another point…I do not, for the life of me, understand why there was not an OCCUPY of the closely related but sister Republican institutions of the MSM and FOX.***
*** FOX is for Republicans, so as to continue the “outrage” of their viewers
MSM is for both Democrats (to demoralize) and Independents (to make "both parties to blame")

I don’t think that is a factor you plug into your marketing strategy for achieving favorable viewership ratings.
Now that I think about it, developing more foaming-at-the-mouth customers for future consumption of your product is perfectly sensible. Do the producers of “The Bachelor” really hope future generations are big fans of reading books?
From DWS on down, we do not have the ability to outsmart those MSM Enablers. OCCUPY was so clueless in not going after those people in both FOX and the MSM.
I have long thought about the two MSM functions (demoralizing Democrats, and making GOP craziness “equivalent” for Independents) and also have believed that Democratc demoralization is far more important–because they are politically deadening our youth. Years ago on an old Bill Maher show, Richard Dreyfuss (one of my favourite actors) held forth on the decline of Civics.
Before I had read a single post of yours, my feeling about the MSM has always been that they are better than the old Soviet methods of communication control.
Yeah, if there is anybody who is going to punch protesters in the face, it’d be the guy who volunteered to go to Vietnam and who went toe-to-toe with Charlie in a rice paddy and who killed 13 of the Cong with his bare hands.
