Discussion: Trump Says He Still Has Confidence In Tillerson

I don’t, or at least its been modified to exclude Tillerson, since he has been shown to be completely ineffectual in managing Trump’s tantrums to rest of the world. That isn’t entirely on Tillerson, mind you, but Trump’s complete disregard for diplomacy has made it an impossible job.

He started undercutting Tillerson as soon as him nominated him, and not just with his own words. Putting major allies like Canada, Mexico, China, Israel under the purvey of Kushner? That guarantees dysfunction.

IQ test? Who cares? What I want to see Trump, Tillerson and let’s say Alec Baldwin all play in an episode of Jeopardy! It’d be funnier than any SNL skit. Trump would keep screaming like a little bitch that it’s rigged. The hilarity of seeing Trump miss some of the most basic questions would funny. The concept of answering in the form of a question might be too much for him to process.

“…that Mr Corker, at 5-foot-7, was too short to be the nation’s top diplomat…”

No country for small men…

What did Steve Bannon think, he’s a fan of Napoleon Bonaparte, also 5-foot-7…

“I guess we’ll have to compare IQ tests. And I can tell you who is going to win.”

But first, an Executive Order to replace the failing Stanford-Binet with the Trump Intelligence Scale, which will be the best, believe me.

And that is exactly what is going on here. For Trump, saying something emphatically creates reality. He sees no external reality that’s independent of his will. I am convinced of this. The man is mentally ill.

Why would Tillerson even show up for this lunch? He should either quit or just ignore Trump until he is fired, which should be any day now…

After alluding in an Forbes interview that he thinks he has a higher IQ than his secretary of state, Donald told reporters Tuesday that he doesn’t “believe in undercutting people.”

… unless it serves his greater good.

Thank Cthulu Donnie hasn’t heard about this exercise in extravagance:

Paraphrasing Churchill: “But the difference is that Tillerson woke up this morning and Trump was still a fucking moron.”

I suspect Tillerson is motivated to remain for reasons unrelated to his actual job.

Right, you don’t have the IQ of a moron. Now what’s that word for single cell organisms?

Tillerson needs to stay a full year to avoid a major tax liability. So he’s gone January 23rd, 2018.

Trump has graduated to being a moronic moron! Bigly!

The likelihood of sanctions being lifted to make that deal go forward are extremely small and shrinking daily. In large part precisely because of the Russian collusion investigations. I can definitely see Tillerson throwing in the towel on that and figuring he can be just as effective with getting Congress to lift them as a private citizen.

I think I just won Verbal Abuse Bingo here!

I really feel sorry for Tillerson. He has been underwater since day one, knowledge-wise, and now he is stuck with the Asshole-elect knowing he called him a moron.

If Tillerson wants to save his reputation (what there is left of it), he needs to tell the Asshole-elect to go get fucked, and resign. Otherwise he will just be dragged down (and spit out) by the irrationality of Trump.

Doesn’t that just get completely filled in after every statement from Trump? Not much of a game.

Yeah, I know. But it’s still educational for people to recognize if they are being verbally abused in their own relationships. And this also helps as a reminder that none of what Trump does should be seen as normal.

Well he has confidence that he’ll some be firing him if he doesn’t toe the line, does that count?
