Farmers who support the rollback call the federal protections of wetlands and creeks a burden, and insist farmers know best how to protect their property.

Which is what every polluting industry says.

Yeah because itā€™s not their property Iā€™m worried about, itā€™s what theyā€™re sending down stream.

sounds like a great place for trump to move too.
deep in the bottom of a wetland.

No, we need federal regulators in your drainage ditches, your puddles and your ponds because they provide pathways for chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides to run right into public waterways, as well as groundwater.

Sure, getting the heavy hand of government off your back is greatā€¦until your well is poisoned with nitrates. Or your favorite recreational lakes or rivers are covered with a mat of putrid algae due to excess phosphorus.

They may not want to develop wetlands but they might like to drain them so they can be planted on.

Dr. Jill Stein has accomplished her ā€œgreenā€ goals by helping Putin demolish Hillary Clinton, huh? I imagine she and Susan Sarandon will refuse any responsibility in this environmental assault. Frauds!
