How nice of Mueller to obey. Does this mean the ugly tweets will stop?
I am still curious to know if they “reached out” directly or through the Acting AG.
I saw a headline suggesting Rosenstein asked for it…
Dumbass Stone-level attempts at ratfuckery. Won’t work.
And, remember: panic is unstrategic.
Huh??? WTF just happened here???
I am confused.
Try not to get too accustomed to your requests not being summarily dismissed … or snickered, laughed or guffawed at.
Rudy hyping this implies you should pay no mind to that aspect of it and is more evidence the SCO did this for reasons of its own IMHO.
From this article in the WP, Rosenstein’s office asked the SCO if they were going to make a statement:
Two people familiar with the matter said lawyers at the special counsel’s office discussed the statement internally, rather than conferring with Justice Department leaders, for much of the day. In the advanced stages of those talks, the deputy attorney general’s office called to inquire if the special counsel planned any kind of response, and was informed a statement was being prepared, the people said.
We have a winner!
Someone here suggested the order to respond came directly from acting fake AG Whitaker. Kudos to whoever that was.
Deputy AG is Rosenstein.
On Friday, my first thought that I posted was that Mueller wanted the media and some Democrats in Congress to hit the pause button and not get too excited or out over their skis about the Buzzfeed story. I stiil think this is big reason for the SCO statement. Let the SC finish its job. That doesn’t mean Congressional investigations need to stop - just don’t put all the hope and effort into one aspect of this tangled web.
Congessional investigations need to ramp up ASAP and be televised gavel-to-gavel.
The impression that many people will get because of this “Trump’s Lawyers Requested” article will be that Drumpf wants to control his own prosecution.
Which happens to be true.
In that sense, the article heading serves a purpose.
Thank you! That was me…
Really wish that Josh would set up a betting portal for us… I could retire.
No surprise that Trump’s lawyers asked for a statement. I think that’s why the SCO response was so obtuse. They’re walking a very thin line to protect the investigation.
Does this mean that the OSC can make the AG issue statements to correct any misleading characterizations of Mueller’s investigation that emanate from the White House?
Counterintelligence Investigations even leave people who are very intelligent confused.
tRump’s lawyers reached out to Mueller. Trying to discredit Buzzfeed was the reason but why would Mueller have to go along with this even through his office’s statement was quite vague.
There is a big difference between “inaccurate” and “wrong”, that anyone with a proper working knowledge of the Queen’s English gets. We should not be surprised that the thugs and home-schooled minions of Putin fail to grasp the distinct which I continue to hope was by design.
