Discussion: Trump Retweets Alt-Right 'Pizzagate' Promoter After Condemning Hate Groups

It is time to remove any and all republicans from power wherever they are.
They are a cancer on this nation.

Even Trump’s latest comments don’t actually condemn the Nazis and racists in Charlottesville. He’s only making very general criticisms. Reminds me of a 5th grader with an attitude problem being brought in by his ear to apologize in the principal’s office.

this is so spot on.

TL;DR - “As long as us white folk kill minorities and people who stand int he way of our white nationalist daydreams at a rate lower than Chicago, then it’s perfectly OK.”

The fun part is looking at the fact that New Orleans is worse, but these fuckers focus on what they call “Chicongo.” Wanna guess why?

Can’t believe that TPM buried its own lede: Posobiec is the shitstain who went to Auschwitz and filmed himself threatening the ADL.

“It would be wise of the ADL to remember the history of what happened the last time people started going around making lists of undesirables,”

Along with Jones and Posobiec, the other main figure in promoting Pizzagate was shitstain Mike Cernovich. Some enterprising soul has dug up and archived deleted tweets and videos of Cernovich’s, and they reveal a seriously disturbed individual.

Here’s Trump ultimate problem - he has alienated so much of the electorate - and has virtually no path to regain a different base

  • he’s down to what 32% ‘favorable’ now? and “unfavorable” is running in the range of 55-60+% (hell - what is David Duke’s ‘favorable’ / ‘unfavorable’ … sad that that is now Trump’s benchmark)
Not sure how to tease out an assessment of “permanence” - as some of the negatives may be fickle & will wander back if thrown a crumb or if the crap stops flying and they are just shown a moment or two of consideration (similar to the sad dysfunctional pathology/dynamics of people who compulsively act in opposition to their own best interest) But what ever the case - it would seem that the % of the electorate that is now permanently viewing Trump as toxic has climbed significantly.

Now with this decline a HUGE HUGE part of Trump’s remaining base is composed of those sympathetic toward / willing to overlook the - … Alt-Right, KKK, Nazi, White-Supremacists, eliminate Public Schooling, establish a State Religion, Own Property to Vote, Restore the Right to - Racially, Religiously, Ethnically Discriminate, Criminalize Homosexuality, fringe groups … in fact - now that many saner folks have left the base - the ‘fringe groups’ are not really on the ‘fringe’ of Trump’s base … and now like drug addicts, this collection of crazies demands a regular fix - or they will seek out a new supplier for their addiction to red-meat fascism - an will walk away - or even turn on Trump as a betrayer of the cause … in a sense Trump it is like Trump has made a deal with the Mafia - yeah - like the Russian Mafia - and those are deals that you can never never totally unwind while you are still alive.

So if Trump became overwhelmed with a sense of patriotism & history and tried to fight for justice & equality in a rational world way - he’d easily lose 25–35+% of his remaining base which is now composed of the shrill fringes (meaning that his ‘favorable’ could drop to 20% or much lower) - and then those fringes would be attacking him for betrayal … and it is unlikely that many basic even handed conservatives would hold their nose and energetically return to him in any significant way because the toxic stench of political death would have little appeal.

Whataboutism hero. Posobiec is a fame hungry wannabe. Spends all day combing 4chan for his next investigative scoop and when that fails, just lies and cherry picks statistics.

Sadly, he’s a product of naval reserve training, maybe he can re-enlist and get sent back to Guam.

in a sense Trump it is like Trump has made a deal with the Mafia - yeah - like the Russian Mafia

Trumpism is the logical and inevitable result of 40 years of Republican demonization of government, education, science, and anything supportive of the common or public good. Trumpism is the inevitable result of the GOP’s eager courtship of the formerly solidly Democratic racists in the South, and racists elsewhere in the country. Trumpism is the inevitable result of the romance between the GOP and Evangelical Christianists promoting ignorance in the form of Biblical inerrancy. Trumpism is the inevitable result of over 30 years of lunatic rightwing media commentary on AM radio and Fox News. Trumpism is the inevitable result of targeted disinformation and propaganda campaigns on social media and the internet carried out with the help of Russian troll farms and Robert Mercer-led Cambridge Analytica. And Trumpism is the inevitable result of utterly craven and cynical Republican elected officials who consistently put partisan political loyalties to the Republican Party above the nation as a whole.

In other words, they built that.

Yup, that’s significant. He could have easily left that out and yet, he didn’t. Might be he actually gets that the nutcase in the WH is truly a threat.

I’m old enough to remember Nugent from back in the day. “Third rate” is a flattering description. As I recall, he used to go around challenging other guitar players to see who could play the fastest. That didn’t seem to bother Hendrix, Clapton, or B.B. King, to name only a few.

Well, a LOT of deserving people are not in the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame (Ted Nugent NOT being one of them.)

It is a PRIVATE Enterprise that should be renamed: “The Rock and Roll MONEY Hall of Fame” for all the money-men, oily producers, scam-artists, and undeserving no-talents (Madonna? Really?) they have “inducted” while ignoring musically significant acts for decades.
Their pre-requisites seems to be;
A) “Did you make obscene amounts of money for the Music Industry?”
distantly followed by
B) “Were you a socially significant musical minority we can induct to deflect any “whitewashing” accusations?”

The organizers demand the band members pay their own way to the ceremonies, dictate what songs may be performed and how long you get to do it, demand all the broadcast rights to the performances (and retain copyright on them too), and are pretty much assholes of the most massive sort to everybody involved.

Most people don’t know that he was a member of the excellent “Amboy Dukes” in the 60’s and a member of “Damn Yankees” in the late 70’s.

His solo career was pretty much a flop however. The 'Nuge" only had one minor hit “Cat Scratch Fever” and one relatively descent song musically; “Crush your Face” that is so disgustingly misogynistic that it destroyed the relatively decent guitar work in it.
After that he descended into destructive and repulsive “Narcissistic” behavior that relegated him to the trash heap musically.
Only his over-the-top Misogyny and Fascism has brought him back into the public eye.
He is an adherent of the “No such thing as bad publicity” group and is just a “Professional Asshole” now.

Sad really. His work with the Amboy Dukes was truly ground-breaking and he had lots of potential that his own EGO destroyed.

Sorry Mr. Posobiec, what you are talking about was not close to the “last time people started making lists of those they disagreed with.” You are not even close and you are not even accurate. Just think of the House Un-Americana Activities Committee. A private organization making lists of those who they disagree with is not even close to what you are trying to connect.

Give this man a kewpie doll!

Yeah:

My request—my plea—to everyone involved in our political system is this: set scoring political points aside and focus on what is best for the nation as a whole.

And how many jobs has Intel sent overseas? I guess to some small degree we can thank President Stale Cheeto for ripping the mask off of American corporate hypocrisy…

It would be wise of the ADL to remember the history of what happened the last time people started going around making lists of undesirables,”

What a disgusting pig. But then again, we already knew that.
