There’s a screen shot of the tweet he retweeted approximately 22 hours ago (i.e. 10:45 AM EST on 8/14).
The board hasn’t had any meetings yet, so it will probably fall apart on its own even if no one else resigns.

Huh? “Clarify” his comments? It took him two days to bow to political pressure.
And that was deliberate, of course. The same thing happened during the campaign (re. David Duke and the KKK). By stalling, racists know that Trump is on their side, but was simply bullied by the “lamestream” media into “clarifying his comments.”
On the other hand, ordinary Republicans can point to his later remarks as an excuse. “See, Trump did condemn the racists.”
It’s win/win. It’s how racist politicians have been working the system for decades. Trump is just more blatant about it, which is why the racists love him so much. But it’s certainly not new with him.
But does TPM really have to buy into this bullshit, even to the extent of using that “clarify” language? That’s not what happened. Trump couldn’t have been more clear that he supported the racists - and that he welcomed their support - right from the start.

If you believed his denouncement of hate groups yesterday to be sincere, you are a total idiot, I foresee an Nigerian scam in your future. Now if you still support Donald Trump because you believe he is going to do any good to the country, you either wear Huggies or Depends.
The most likely reason you support Trump is because you believe that Trump will restore the privileges of the white people, specially males. Then you are a deplorable and an idiot, because not only Trump is this just to satisfy his vanity, even if he wanted he can’t deliver because he is the most inept moron to ever occupy high office since the imbecile King Charles II of Spain.
And last, “White Privilege” still is with us, if you don’t have the wealth or the position you believe to deserve is because you are a loser. And about the “superiority” of the “white race”, with all those questionable studies about Caucasians having higher IQ, you need to understand that those are averages, you can be white and still be dumber than anyone else, and you are.

I fondly remember intelligent,educated, thoughtful Presidents who spent their vacations (and, yes, even their busy work weeks) with reading material longer than 140 characters. A book? Even a magazine article? And a white paper now and then would be nice. Trump is simply devoid of any curiosity or understanding and he is lazy and undisciplined. A petulant 8-year old is more like it.
