We all know trump has the attention span of a 2 yr old. I’m so looking forward to when he tires of attacking Clinton and Obama and goes after the ones in the gop who have turned on him
The SOB doesn’t know the history of either the Iraq war or ISIS does he?
My fear is that typical American is ignorant enough to believe this ISIS line of attack…
This statement is entirely correct, rich, as soon as you remove the “arguably”.
Is it wrong to say the Donald J Trump is a draft dodging coward who let others die in his place?
He only knows what the voices in his head tell him. I don’t think he’s ignorant, because he knows exactly what his followers want to hear. He is, as always, a liar, an insecure, over-compensating bully and a ridiculous figure of a man. Who can possibly take him seriously? Just look at the cotton candy wig he wears…it’s to laugh. Sadly, I’m not laughing, I’m sick to my stomach. I’ve said it before, he’s beneath contempt.
There’ll be numerous books and dissertations written in coming years on what ails this creature. Narcissism, anger, insecurity, populism, authoritarianism, a huckster’s clumsy attempt to tell conservatives what they want to hear, all that. But what struck me in the exchange with Hewitt was the absolute insistence on a simplistic and context-free idea. Ordinarily conspiracy theorists have elaborate explanations for things—Beck’s whiteboards come to mind—but this one, oh, no. Obama’s the founder! I know what you mean, his actions led to—No, he’s the founder! But certainly not in the sense that—He’s the founder! He’s the MVP and the founder! Take any example of his recorded talk, of any length. It’s completely incoherent, verbally and intellectually. There are probably multiple reasons for it but it’s unmissable. If anyone can point to any sort of consistent coherence in the things he says, I’d be receptive but surprised.
Yeah, nice lifeline there, dick head, but that’s another outright lie. What peace? The Iraqis are stunningly incompetent at governance, and as we’ve seen, breathtakingly inane at actual fighting an actual foe, after all the (literal) blood, sweat and tears of U.S. personnel to train these cowardly bastards.
Were it that Dems could list facts and shove that damn lie back down the throats of these scumbags before it even crosses their lips. Alas…
*That is meant in response to Hewitt, not @mattinpa, of course.)
Very true; publish or perish. Historians gotta feed their flock. But I prefer your more parsimonious insight: “Because he’s nuts”
And they both brought down WTC 7! It’s true, IT’S TRUE!!!
You forgot Hurricane Katrina.
There’s also that whole Lindbergh baby thing.
If it helps future politicians and political scientists stop this kind of thing in the future it’s not wasted effort, as I’m sure you’d agree. For instance, I read today that in at least one poll the mocking of the handicapped reporter was the number-one thing people disapproved of. That’s interesting and worth more consideration. So I’m good with it.
very good. anyone notice that dipshit Donnie sounded like he took a massive dose of valium before his “speech” where he accused our Prez and Hillary of founding Isis? I seem to recall Wolfowitz, Cheney and their poolboy Bush as being the actual creators of Isis, when they fired all of Saddam’s army and security men. Needing jobs, presto! Al Queda then Isis then other spin-offs, to this day.
stay on the valium, Donnie… your audiences are less dangerous when you whisper.
Don’t overlook the Hawaiian connection, clear evidence that BHO was involved in the Pearl Harbor attack…
No, contrary to most of Donald Trump’s statements, yours is actually based in fact.
I don’t doubt it. People respond to “human interest stories” that focus on an individual or family like this reporter or the Khans and are often baffled by stories that describe the “doom” that Trumponomics would have on the economy. Even though, arguably many more people would have their lives damaged than by Trump’s name-calling attacks on a few. It’s the socio-political equivalent of Stalin’s: “The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic.”
And, actually I can forsee a future seminar in graduate-level courses in history departments: “Donald Trump and the Problem of Whiteness.”
He has seemed a bit medicated while delivering his speeches lately. This must be an attempt to follow his advisors’ recommendations to tone things down even as he doubles down on crazy content. I just saw a clip from a 2007 interview where Donald Trump blamed all of the problems in Iraq and the Middle East on the policies of George Bush, Donald Rumsfeld and Condoleezza Rice - so he appears to be a bit “confused” in this latest accusation.
Another ad that writes itself. Show Trump saying diametrically opposed things about Iraq, ISIS–about anything, really.
So, Trump thinks he is part of ISIS, awarding trophies on its behalf?
And, is ISIS a sports team? Do they have “founders”?
Sorry, Donald, I am lost in your cleverness.
