I don’t trust those Harvard educated, elite, journalists.

Hey TPM, show a little compassion and give Caitlin MacNeal another gig. She has to be suffering from an acute case of Trump Fatigue by now.

they have so-called sources that in my opinion don’t exist,” he said.

“Existence” is determined by DJT’s assessment. He lives in virtual reality. HIs world is even more self-determined than a “Choose your own adventure” book–facts, scientific laws, and the existence of other people are all also of his choosing.

Ex: “Dammit, the lighting’s all wrong, we gotta change it. This will only be a couple minutes; have the fluffer work on Trump to keep him ready.”

Trump’s rant came after Dobbs told the President that he was one of the most “reviled” presidents, but also one of the most “loved and respected.”

“How does that feel?” Dobbs asked.

“You are everything as advertised when you ran for president and I appreciate everything you are doing,” Dobbs told Trump.

I am trying, but for the life of me I can´t recall what Dobbs uesd to do before hs got this Fox gig.
He might have been a journalist, but it´s been a while, and my memory is not what it once was.

One saving grace of Fox News is once you’re there you’re stuck with them, like a leg hold trap on a badger. Megyn Kelly’s attempt at a post-Fox career has proven abysmal. Ever having been in their service is a stain that can’t be removed or ignored. Greta Van Susteren, Glenn Beck, Andrea Tantaros, Stacey Dash, Bob Beckel. Careers on the ash heap of Roger Ailes.

That’s it. He doesn’t see reality as a thing that exists outside himself. His reality is not the everyday one; it’s modular, you can choose whatever version of it suits you and swap it in and out as the situation changes. This is the guy who said his net worth changes with his feelings. Is Obama a citizen? “I don’t talk about that any more.” It contradicts the normal person’s view of reality and it’s tough to imagine, but that’s our current occupant. He’s nuts.

It certainly sounds like this was a hard-hitting interview with a lot of push-back and follow-up on Trump’s lies and dubious claims. Trump really took his chances going into the lion’s den.

I can believe Dobbs “got friendly” with Donald.
Or was it catty-wampus the other way around…

Since his inauguration Trump has given one interview to ABC News, his first as President, never to return. One to NBC, the famous Lester Holt disaster. One to CBS, in which he abruptly walked out on John Dickerson. Other than that it’s been almost exclusively Fox, with a CBN session and occasional sit with former Fox personalities or GOP sycophants (Mike Huckabee, et al). If you don’t watch Fox the only glimpse of Trump you get are his ad hoc inanities pre-board his helicopter or pressers with foreign heads of State. He avoids contact with anyone he isn’t assured observes strict obsequity.

I was referring to the time before that.

True. But it might have something to do with the kind of folk they hire in the first place.

You are everything as advertised when you ran for president and I appreciate everything you are doing,” Dobbs told Trump.

Dobbs then clicked his heels and shouted “Mein Fuhrer” before dropping to his knees to fellate the 71-year old President.

Some one should send this and other selected highlights to Karen Bradley, U.K. culture secretary, the one reviewing Murdoch’s bid to take over Sky News.
“U.K. culture secretary Karen Bradley said Tuesday that she intends to order an extensive review of 21st Century Fox’s (FOX) $15 billion planned takeover of Sky TV because of concerns over “genuine commitment to broadcasting standards” and the increased influence it would give the Murdoch family over British media.”

My mind shudders when I think what Chairman Mao or Stalin could have accomplished if they had a Murdoch, cable TV and internet back their start up days.

Fox Business News? Isn’t that the proverbial example of if a network falls in a forest and there’s no one there to hear it, is it really a network?

I believe he was on a financial network that he left during the dot-com era for a startup. When that exploded in his face, he limped over to CNN.
