“I, for one, am not interested in defending a system that for decades has served the interest of political parties at the expense of the people. Members of the club—the consultants, the pollsters, the politicians, the pundits and the special interests—grow rich and powerful while the American people grow poorer and more isolated.”
This sounds familiar. Does anyone know why?
Hey, Trump Ghost Writer, come out, come out, whoever you are!
Oh, this is how the 1% get disenfranchised. They think the rules shouldn’t apply to them. Seems I heard something like that before.
Something is not right, this is kind of making sense.
Trump speaks for all of those poor, downtrodden, oppressed white people who say “I’m not being treated fairly!” because they’re not getting special treatment. Which, it turns out, isn’t even a majority of non-college whites.
The Rump brags about his self-financed campaign. He instantly and selectively notices what’s wrong with the system everywhere he loses. Combining the two, I hear the annoyance of a douche who thought he should be able to buy the Presidency, for the cost of jet fuel and a Twitter feed.
It’ll be funny if/when he wins the nomination and still complains about this.
It would make far more sense if this had been Mr. Trump’s position from the moment the rules were adopted last year, rather than only after they worked to his disadvantage.
Several things.
-
This is a lazy, fat, spoiled rich buffoon surrounded by yes-men who had no problem with winning 47% of the delegates while only winning 37% of the Primary vote overall (Steve Kornacki’s figures).
-
He know this…the outrage is for his followers

While I am aware of the animus for Cruz (the Trump-stopper), I simply cannot wrap my mind around any casual treatment of Trump as a candidate for President representing a major party. There are too many unknowns in the General, no matter how lopsided any Democrat’s lead over Trump would be. Any October surprise which would highlight Trump’s “manliness”, “take charge ability” or something similar in the minds of susceptible people would be an absolute disaster. In addition, every other utterance Trump makes is inflammatory, dangerous and ugly. Finally, to not have a Plan B for the unthinkable is beyond comprehension.,What is the Plan B if Trump is placed in a General Election and WINS?
Trump just needs to dye his hair white, put on some goofy glasses, and start wagging his finger at everybody.
“We will run a campaign based on empowering voters, not sidelining them.”
Right up until the moment they get him what he wants, then they are toast!
On the topic of voter disenfranchisement, I’m really looking forward to an objective analysis how many Republicans got caught in the intricate web of poll taxes masquerading as voter ID laws and fraud prevention. Wisconsin Republicans were absolutely “giddy” about passing their a voter ID law to nerf Democrats, and Democrats are outraged for the same reason. But I have a hunch that the conventional wisdom is wrong.
I think Rump Republicans are the most plausible cohort of inattentive, inexperienced, uneducated and/or uninterested voters, who’re most likely to trip over byzantine election laws that make no sense.
D. Trump, Complainer-in-Chief.
So sue somebody Donnie.
Jeeze!
Exactly - no flippin’ way Trump wrote that. For one thing, it wasn’t filled with exclamation points, Trump’s favorite (only?) form of punctuation.
!!!
Just now CNN was showing a former “Apprentice” contestant speaking against Trump’s candidacy but cut him off to say trump had tweeted they were “losers”. Seems to me CNN is very much a trump promoter.
Geesh!
Von Clownstick and his backers just cannot get over the fact that they were outsmarted by Cruz. They are so pissed off that Cruz took ALL the delegates away from their hero that they are threatening the Colorado head of the GOP and have scheduled a rally at the same time the GOP has scheduled one at their headquarters.
Cruz took him to the mat on this. How is Von Clownstick going to deal with Putin on something REALLY important? How is he ever going to induce the Mexicans to pay for his Wall? You just know he’s arrogant enough to try and build it but then stick us with the cost.
This is beyond the pale, a GOP candidate complaining about voter disenfranchisement. Trump’s op-ed embodies for me why I think the current Republican Party has no soul (not that trump is a republican, he is simply a charlatan).
Trump is suddenly concerned with disenfranchised voters now. Why? Because he is a loser in Colorado and that can’t be his fault… and being a narcissist, these things suddenly are an outrage that insult him. So now he is conveniently railing against “the oppressive system” that robs people of their vote while totally and absolutely ignoring the overt aggressive actions of suppression and disenfranchisement of voters by the Republican Party over the last decade.
That ability to find the perceived wrong to justify outrage, the lack of ANY responsibility or ownership for things they’ve stated, all this in the hailstorm of egregious civil rights violations by the GOP is a true sign of moral bankruptcy.
Trump and the GOP sold their souls for money and perceived power long ago.
plan a. he is going to get crushed and put the hurt on down ticket candidates. there are a lot of smart women out there that know total BS when they see and hear it. get out the vote, ladies!
as far as his voter disenfranchisement whining, he would have no problem disenfranchising dem voters in the general election.
