Discussion: Trump Rails Against China's 'Unfair' Trade Practices

‘“The future of this region and its beautiful people must not be held hostage to a dictator’s twisted fantasies of violent conquest and nuclear blackmail,” he said’

Of course, literally any country could say this about Trump.

After praising China for taking advantage of the US?

Yet in China he had nothing but praise. Sort of like when in Mexico he didn’t mention the wall at all.

How do idiots buy this doofus’ tough-guy schtick?

Shortly before Trump landed, the White House announced he would not be having a formal meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, as Trump had said had been expected. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders blamed scheduling conflicts on both sides, but said it was possible the leaders could have a less formal encounter in Danang or at a later regional conference in the Philippines.

Yeah, I am thinking ixnay on the formal meeting while the heat is on - let’s divide up the loot later when things have cooled off.

I take it, then, that Trump is no longer in China.

By withdrawing from multilateral agreements, and even from multilateralism as a principle, this gold-plated idiot is allowing China to form a regional trading bloc of their own, for their interests and against ours.

On what planet is this “putting America first”??

The only idiots buying this crap are his true believers here and some gullible “journalists.” The Chinese are laughing behind his back about how they played him. He’s such a transparent liar, the world knows by now the word of Donald J. Trump is worthless.

This. Exactly this. Assuming the ship of democracy rights itself – whether that means something as dramatic as Trump getting the heave-ho via impeachment, or something as mundane as political gravity reasserting itself with the election of people who aren’t insane – then America losing its place as the global leader will be Trump’s most damaging legacy. It took a century to build up some of that global capital, and idiots like Trump and other Bannonites have no concept of how much care and feeding it takes to sustain.

Now that he’s out of China and away from their leader he can talk bad about him. Jebus what a fucking spineless ass kissing wimp. Colbert, I was only going to be up there for 20 minutes,… hours and it was magical!

Edit: And jebus Donald speech pattern and choice of descriptive words is so fucking sad to listen to.

Fucking COWARD.

He can’t say ANYTHING negative to China’s face while he is there, but when he goes to Vietnam (who have fought China for MILLENNIUMS, most recently they went to war in 1977 when China invaded northern Vietnam and the Vietnamese kicked their asses.)

The title of the article should be: “Cowardly Con Man sucks up to Vietnamese with empty bluster and promises.”

Wow! We’ve gone from ass kissing to scolding in less than 24 hours? What a guy – what a guy! This man is unfit in every conceivable respect. Just amazing. Astonishing. No one left to take him seriously – unless we’re talking about footballs and buttons. ITMFA!

Asians must wonder why Americans would send a house ape to represent them on serious matters of economics and world security. Me too.

Let us not forget that Xi was also present at the conference in Vietnam. Here is a comparison of their respective messages.

Under this administration:

The CIA, our eyes and ears to the outside world, has been reduced to meeting with conspiracy theorists who claim the Russia hacking was actually an inside job;

The State Department, which represents our interests overseas, maintains our international standing and relationships, and serves as an instrument of projecting soft power, has been hollowed out of expertise and institutional memory; and

Our system of international trade agreements, which reflect U.S. power and a desire to replace a system of hegemonic spheres of influence with free trade among nations, have fallen under suspicion.

In less than one year, the post-war international order that has provided 70 years of peace and prosperity under American leadership finds itself in crisis.

Couldn’t like this more.

I expect that the spinelessness stems from finding out that it isn’t just Russia that has some Kompramat on Donnie.
