Discussion: Trump Questions Info On Russian Hacking Ahead Of Intel Briefing

Don’t confuse him with facts!

Drumpf is really the logical conclusion to the Republicans’ theme for the last 30 or 40 years: Ignorant and proud of it.

Hey, classic disinformation. Strew misinformation and untruths far and wide.

Here’s a thought for Trump: Why not wait for his briefing to ask all of these questions?

Trump is just a smarter version of Reagan, and not as senile.

Trump confesses with every word… I’m beginning to think he’s very afraid there is something they are going to find that he knows was likely treason of an official sort. He’s telegraphing his culpability in some nefarious incident or incidents, he’s nervous as a cat that there’s something he did or knew about that has been exposed.

Trump’s a loose cannon, in every sense of the term.

Anyone who is still fawning over him should get his image tattooed on their hindquarters.

Sounds to me like he conspired some sort of cover-up and it didn’t cover-up… something in his constant disjointed tweetfarts sounds like a kid who’s afraid he’s about to get caught in some cookie-jar.

I am really interested in the news that the Russian intelligence agents have been identified. If those people are identified, then it stands to reason that intelligence agencies know which Americans worked with them.
Is it someone in his family?
I think it could easily be Jared or Ivanka----not the very stupid Uday and Qusay though.

I hate to quibble, but after 8 yrs of Obama, the most important part is Donalds status as a White Male.

But I do agree, his $ is pretty important too.

You’re missing the story. Is Trump or is he not a KGB cyborg under Moscow control. That’s the issue, not whether you like him

Makes him v"very smart" according to his base.

Maybe, but Reagan’s puppet masters were smarter and only out to make American Oligarchs rich.

People forget how crazy Reagan’s cabinet was. Trump’s people are not crazier, IMO, although they are definitely stupider.

The fact that he will not wait until he hears the briefing for him to pronounce it worthless tells you all that you need to know. This is a canned rejection of the briefing,
assuming it does anything except praise Russian intelligence as being benign and innocent. Probably ordered by Moscow and God knows what they have over him.

We’ve all have ideas on why Trump is being an ass on this so here’s mine. He’s afraid that his image of the ultimate rich self-made man would shredded. He thinks that he won because of his charisma and machismo were enough to propel him to the top. There may be a sliver of truth in that but I think he won because at the start he was not a politician. He mocked, bullied and made fun of the Republicans in the primaries. If you look back over the campaign he offered nothing new, he even offered up nonRepublican ideology and the momentum carried he to the top of the ticket.
So for him to have to admit that someone or others helped him is a blow to his teen tiny ego. That he is being used by others for their purposes is insulting.
And plus the Russians have some goods on him and he owes some Russians big bucks.

Says he does, anyway.

But seriously folks, what would you think if you were a prosecutor and this guy was doing backflips trying to obfuscate the issue here? That he’s concerned it could, as they often say, diminish the legitimacy of his victory? Or would you think it tends to confirm that he’s involved? The sheer effort he’s put into pointing away from this speaks for itself. It’s not about the legitimacy, he’s never cared about that, if the eyes are on him that’s all he cares about. He cares about going to prison, IMHO. He hasn’t been arguing the Russians didn’t do it nearly as much as he’s been arguing you can’t believe the IC, and the reason to argue that is because he doesn’t want us to believe what he fears they’ll have to say.
