Which congress does he think is going to repeal Dodd-Frank? Pretty sure he’s stuck with the same one that couldn’t get healthcare done, and I don’t see this idea going any farther than the Freedumb caucus either. Or does he think it’s going to get done with another slew of E.O.'s that he’ll forget to sign?

I think that’s the reason he doesn’t trim his eyebrows. Some people do a “comb-over.” He plans on doing a “comb-back.”

I heard somewhere (sorry I can’t cite) that Congress is going back into recess soon.

Then (or now), the debt ceiling has to be raised.

Then, tax reform.

Then, financial regulations.

But, in the meantime, the House is still stuck on zombie health care…

The Hill has a pdf with the schedule on it. They break at the end of the week and then don’t come back until the last week of April.

Maybe a two-tiered system, where people who don’t know that Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act are the same thing vote for a monarch and the rest of us vote for a president. The president can go ahead and govern while the monarch tweets, holds rallies, and goes on TV to mouth off about the “elites.”

So…this would be the toothless Dodd-Frank that was passed so the finance community couldn’t fk over the rubes (people) that they are stealing money from and then the RW Congress never funded it or passed any corresponding legislation so the lobbyists would continue to fund their campaigns? THAT Dodd-Frank? I need a blood pressure pill.

I wouldn’t even give them the option of a monarch. We’d end up with Queen Kim of the House of Kardashian, rather than someone from one of the established royal houses.

So basically he’s going to hack dodd-frank down so that US banks will even loan him money

What happened to the military operation against Mexico that our unhinged Orange Russian Mole promised the CEO’s last time?

People who wrote to their Congressmen and stormed the town halls to oppose ACA repeal are not going to be overcome with sympathy for the big banks struggling to comply with Dodd-Frank and thrive.

Despite all the misgivings people have about the medical industrial complex – the fine print, lifetime caps and exclusions from the pre-ACA insurers, the skyrocketing price of medicines – they still had the warm-and-fuzzies about their own doctor. And that’s why Republican attempts to undermine the ACA focused on the doctor-patient relationship that the ACA supposedly improperly interfered with.

But no one loves their bank or banker. Doctors saved your life or your child’s life. Bankers rip you off, charge late fees and penalties, red-line struggling communities, took insane risk that threatened the economy, and have improperly foreclosed on people. Few would sympathize with them.

But, please proceed, Republicans.

I think by now, we all know exactly what a Trump “promise” is worth. I also think he might need a little refresher on Presidential powers; last I checked, the Congress wrote the laws. Again, he has no idea what he is actually doing. That is frightening.

…says the man with the most ridiculous comb 'round and 'round and up and down…

Come on , Baby—Let’s put you in the Corner.

I follow Egan, read all his columns, but I have to wonder if the chumps themselves read any criticism of what his so called administration is doing and as he promised to do during the campaign and they cheered for. They’re starting to wake up to the fact that stuff he promised is not going to happen, and they’ll never put it together when their bank screws them over.
