You know, I am going to go with what you are saying. I will tuck this little imp back into the anxiety closet and see what happens. I do believe that regardless of this telegraphing, the actual terrain is not as they say. If things roll badly, the game is not over by a long shot. I would like to see it turning earlier than later.

To ease your anxiety a little more, go back and look at what Democrats were saying just prior to the midterm elections in 2010 and 2014 and what Republicans were saying in 2008 and 2012. There was a whole lot of " I think weâre going to do great, but the only poll that matters is the one on Election Day."

I am hoping the GOPers lose and lose badlyâŚbigly even.
And that the democrats come out with a veto proof majority⌠in both chambers even Of course that wonât happen but a margin of 3 seats in the senate and around 230 in the House (218 needed for a majority) would really go a long way to make me feel good about my countrymen and women.

I think heâs right, but probably not in the way that he meant. Many Republicans will do well because they will no longer have to worry about fundraising and election cycles, and can instead move into those lucrative lobbying and pundit jobs that have been waiting for them.

Contact your local Democratic organization and volunteer for canvassing or phone banking. For those who are introverts, find your nearest âPostcards To Votersâ gathering and write to voters in swing districts (this is what helped Connor Lamb pull off an upset).

If you can, vote early, and take note of just how many people want to right the ship.
I get your anxiety, and at certain points I feel it myself, but I am encouraged by just how many thousands of people are lining up to take their country back from this dark precipice. Take heart.
