Discussion: Trump Pouts Over Shutdown: Dems Gave Me ‘Present’ On Inauguration Anniversary

I was going to write something about Trump making this all about him–and then I realized that it was.

It’s totally worth the literal millions of wasted taxpayer dollars from the shutdown just to make Trump miss his party.

Oh Donald we know how much you love to see yourself on the TV, so have a look.

To be honest, if I paid $100,000 to attend a party, I’d be pretty pleased that Trump wasn’t going to be there.

Aww, big brave dealmaker’s fee-fees are hurted. Tough noogies, you fraud. Do your job!

Trump, meet reality and humiliation. Well done, sir, well done!

As a man of honor, Trump will have to return the $100,000.

Wait, Trounce reversed DACA in the first place and the Republicans sequestered military spending and government in general. They both have had a year to get this done but instead wisely chose to have this pissing contest on the anniversary of his not so big inauguration.
Plus, they run the whole thing, the whole enchilada and can do whatever they wanted or feel like, if they really wanted, see biggest tax scam in US history as prime example #1.

The Trounce base is dumb and as tribal as cannibals but the rest of the nation isn’t even beginning to swallow this shit.

Trump had a deal to extend DACA with Durbin and Graham, and he backed out, because he’s a big, fat racist and cared more for his racist supporters than thousands of children and young adults who have only really known America as home.

You want to know who’s to blame, Trump? Look in the mirror, you cretin.

Trump is more upset that he didn’t get to go to his party than the welfare of the country. Too bad because:

It only takes two to tango and you’ve got the judicial, legislative, and executive branches. So get your fat ass up on the dance floor!

Awww, poor little Donnie. But, hey! They’re having parades for you all over the country today. And just wait for the present Robert Mueller is putting together for you. That’ll make you feel much better, that I can tell you.

ETA: fixed per @emjayay Thanks.

I really hope the impact on the IRS and its ability to implement the tax scam is greater than imagined. To have these bastards tormented by delays in tax cuts will make for exquisite schadenfreude.

I bet you anything that the 194 military golf courses around the world are not shuttered, nor is the military ski resort in Germany. $500 Million will continue to be spent on military bands this year, and the F35 debacle marches on…

No delays in the F-52 production and delivery schedule—no sir!

I might bet a couple of bucks he goes to that party anyway. Let’s review the numbers: utterly shameless, believes in the magical power of his speech to deflect any potential criticism, really, really wants to do it no matter how bad it would look, really, really wants to stick it to Kelly who’s been telling him 17 times a day he can’t go because of how bad it would look, really needs to hear idiots cheering for him about now—well, I guess I could go on. But I think he’ll go. He never saw a responsibility he couldn’t just stroll off from.

ETA: Astonishingly I was WRONG. You’d think I’d be used to that by now. He does say he likes to keep people guessing.

I have realized I may have to leave for a while. I sat up and watched the Congress last night, saw the McConnell ‘It’s all THEIR fault’ speech and found myself screaming at the TV. ‘You had nine damn years!’ and still this is their modus operandi. Trump is a fool. Franklin Graham was just on excusing Trump as a ‘man with faults’ but we should stand with him. The reason he couldn’t stand with Obama is because Obama ‘targeted’ him. Alex Jones is missing a pastor. These people are sick mothers. I’ve had it. They are destroying my country.

No one could have anticipated that he would blame others for the shutdown.
There is also that detail about the deals he makes: he never has any intention of keeping his side of any deal. It doesn’ t matter if you are a painter for one of his construction projects or the Minority Leader of the U.S. Senate, he will only keep the part of the deal that benefits him. When it comes to paying the contractor, or honoring an agreement, he has no plans to do it. He’ll wiggle out if he can. The whole “Dems want this shutdown” meme is simply the governmental equivalent of “I shouldn’t have to pay for shoddy workmanship–let them take me to court” that he employed as a shyster real estate developer.
