He really does sound like he’s in the mid-range stage of dementia. It’s not just the constant return to his favorite subject (“I won!”), but the weird non-sequiturs, like here about the money to build the museum. What is THAT about? And love. Money and love. Apropos of … nothing. Anyone who has had a senile parent or grandparent can recognize that – the rambling that always comes off as significant only to them.
Repeating the word “double” does not make it bigger.
