Discussion: Trump Orchestrates Staffing Shake-up In Effort To Address His Stalled Agenda

Donnie thinks he is skilled at managing people. Office chaos won’t work all that well should a really serious crisis erupt.

Then: I have the best people I only hire the best people. They are amazing.
Now: OK, so now I have the best people. Believe me. Only the best.

Sure, isn’t that how government works? trump gives the orders, his generals bark the orders at Congress, and his will be done?

“One of the failures was the president never laid out a plan or his core principles and never sold them to the American people,” said Rep. Charlie Dent, R-Pa.

Assumes facts not in evidence.

More accurate to say tRump orchestrates shake-up in effort to distract from his stalled agenda.

Kelly is the wrong man to be tRump’s COS. He’s going to go in there and think he can give orders and things will happen. tRump thought–probably still thinks the same. Nope. This is politics, not business, and not the military.

In terms of conservative policy, Sessions is the star. In terms of brute shows of dominance, it’s the avting ICE chief.

Is Kelly a placeholder for ScarySmoocher? It would be a pretty prolific use of Senate confirmed personnel. I bet someone doesn’t know that Schumer can filibuster the recess.

My current theory is that Trump offers everyone in politics the one thing they all spend an entire career hoping to find: a solid gold imbecile who they think can be manipulated into doing their bidding. Ryan and Priebus see someone who will enable the Ayn Rand cosplay they’ve been dreaming about since college. Kelly and Sessions see someone who’ll let them protect America’s Purity of Essence. McConnell sees a President who’ll spend all his time on the golf course, sign his stuff, and let the GOP run the country in peace. A bunch of us on the left saw someone who’d bury the GOP for a generation (that might still happen, but the final price tag might be too high). A bunch of people on the right saw someone who’d hurt brown people while protecting their government hoverrounds.

We all participated, to varying degrees, because we thought we’d get what we wanted, because he’s such an obvious cretin and we’re all clever. And it’s true, he is a cretin. He’s a genuine dummy. But now everyone is holding the means to our hundred contradictory ends and it’s chaos.

Anyway, Kelly’ll find out, just like everyone does. Trump will get mad after the September debt ceiling fight and let Kushner pull his wings off for a laugh.

Of course, behind all of the giggling is our collective knowledge that eventually there will be a crisis, and our nation has no leadership, no discipline, no ability to reason in the White House. The doomsday clock is now at 11:59:45, and is ticking.

Yeah, awkward fact: the original administration was the A team. All downhill from here

Exactly. Scarramucci had to have been coked up. Rich man’s habit. It’s a sign of coke addiction when someone believes their own bullshit. And he’s got plenty of it. Stay tuned for his mea culpa upon resigning and entering rehab.

Cocaine is and has been the drug of choice on Wall Street since the 70s at least.
