He needs to be shown what it really means to have had a tough life. He’s always been a silver spooned punk ass douche pump, even more so these days.
Remember in 2012 when Romney asked why kids didn’t just ask their parents for money for college instead of borrowing it?
This is the problem for people born into wealth: they assume everyone is the same as them.
One million, two million… pretty soon it adds up to real money.
You’re highlighting exactly what Trump doesn’t understand. A lot of these folks don’t realize how hard it is to get a loan, let alone a job that pays a decent wage to work their way out of poverty or low-income status. This is the grand-delusion of the GOP and their base.
I started with a pick up, $400 in cash (no bank account) and everything I owned in that truck. I succeeded, I think, in that I have helped raise a family… my son is a good solid honest man making is own way which is mostly to Mrs darr’s credit (as it should be). And we have a grandson.
Those are the important things, the rest is material stuff. And Trump seems to be fully centered on the material to estimate his self worth as a man. I think he’s an insecure loser.
But people still love him don’t ya know!
A million dollars in the bank in the depressed real estate market of the 70’s…
There are a lot of very stupid people in this world.
I also love how Trump’s Dad lent him the money thinking that The Donald would fail. So his Dad had a million bucks he could throw away.
I’m glad to hear that man. I really am. That can be infinitely more difficult to do in this country (depending a lot on where you live and at what time period) than it is for Trump to take his measly few hundred million inheritance and turn it into a few billion dollars over 40+ years.
Yea, as I read it was Mitt redux… Oh, I had it soooooooooooooooo soooooooooooooooo bad I only started with $1 Million it was hard… my old man was selfish, he could have easily given $2 or $3 or even $5 but he wanted me to earn it…
Is anyone looking forward the complete mayhem of next summers Republican Convention? I wouldn’t be surprised in someone is challenged to a duel! Okay, I’m kind of hoping for it.
Yes, tRump has been told no his entire life! Remember the days when tRump used to walk into banks, with NO collateral, NO business plan, and walk out with money for new development projects? Remember when he his creditors forced him to live on a budget instead of forcing him into bankruptcy and defaulting on his loans? The banks told tRump, NO bankruptcy for you!
I read at Sodahead (conservative website) that trump could have easily turned his inheritance into 13 billion with conservative and safe investments.
Instead he went bankrupt 4 times and is only worth 4 billion.
He’s a loser.
Yeah, a million dollars in Manhattan real estate in the 70s, plus a later 40 to 200 million … the man must have been a genius to make money. I mean, he made decisions and then he made money. What more proof do you need?
You know though, aside from the hunting thing, he seems to have fairly decent kids who managed to stay out of trouble. Affluent youth nowadays are all over the news for their ridiculous antics, but his kids seems to have decent heads on their shoulders. They gave an interview where they said he made them work. Except for Ivanka, they drove construction machinery and had to start from there and work their way up. I’m not suggesting they didn’t have it easy, but it’s a contradiction from his public persona.
When Trump says he started off in Brooklyn, he does not mean that he actually lived there.
Did anybody call him out for lying? It’s pretty easy to pay off $1M when you are handed $40M.
What I absolutely truly love about this remark is that no other Republican candidate can call him out for it, because they all think exactly the same way, and have showed it with their economic policies since…forever! It’s just like Romney’s “47% of the electorate” remark, which the Teabagger Borg could neither refute nor defend.
And I resent Rubio’s remark about his hatred of his elected position in the Senate far more than this detritus from Trump. Rubio’s statement showed the true arrogance and disregard for the American people that he has. I only hope Trump, whom I have despised since I first became aware of him during the '80s, trains his sharpened knives on Rubio now, since JEB?! is flailing in an inch of bathwater. Although I still think Rubio is a lightweight who would be crushed like the little slug that he is by either Clinton or Sanders - no amount of Perrier of Pellegrino or Poland Spring water is going to rescue him - I would rather see him destroyed by a member of his own party.
What about that $200 million dollar estate your father left behind Donald? Did that go to charity?
