Discussion: Trump Makes Final Sales Pitch On Obamacare Repeal Bill As Vote Looms

If recent town halls are a measure it would seem (like much of what trump says) the opposite is true. You vote for this train wreck and you will loose your seat!

Did His Orangeness resort to crotch grabbing as an inducement?

Exhibit A for a Trump ally. Birds of a feather-sexists, overweight blowhards.

Rock, meet Hard Place. Nice to meet you, Hard Place. Looks like we’ve got some GOP Congress critters between us. They did put themselves here, so I wouldn’t feel too guilty if we crushed them. How about you, Hard Place?

HMMMM, Rock and a hard place? Damned if you do and dammed if you don’t. What’ya going to do?

Traitor-Trump won’t be around much longer, so consider the source.

When??? IF EVER has there been any happy days under the days of Republicans in WA. Their days in office are full darkness and gloom.
Democrats are much happy and have a much better sense of better days ahead for all.

Republicans are hateful, petty, nasty, liars, dark and gloom surround their view of the world. NO SENSE OF HUMOR.

Trump is a TRATOR to our country.

Meadows, for his part, told reporters that he doesn’t mind being called out by name by the leader of the free world.

I didn’t realize he’d been called out by Angela Merkel. Must have missed that.

“And if we fail, there will be consequences for our party and for us as individuals.” Rep. Richard Hudson (R - NC)

And that’s pretty much what it comes down to folks. Screw the millions who will be thrown off their insurance, the thousands who will die or be bankrupted. These Profiles in Courage might actually have to survive a
primary!

Or vote for Trumpcare and lose your seat. If you are a Republican congress critter who you going to believe the folks at the town hall or President Lying Pants?

“I’m still a no,” he said, “because the bill that we’re currently considering does not lower premiums for the vast majority of Americans, and that’s what we need to do.”

Wow! Didn’t realize that was a Freedom Caucus priority! I will, of course, take them at their word since they obviously believe in Freedom and stuff (I mean, why else would they have that wonderful, patriotic, totally-not-smarmy name?)

Trump doesn’t want lower premiums.

He gets his kicks promising lower premiums, so he can go back on his promise, and smirk at everyone who believed him. It’s how he validates his self-delusion of genius.

Besides, all the people and businesses he’ll wreck are just opportunity for him to pick up deals.

Agreed, they all campaigned and were elected on the basis of repealing “every word” of Obamacare, the they should just repeal for 2019 it and then campaign for 2018 bragging that they delivered what they promised and now promise a new super duper “Trumpcare” promise.

It’s so easy that I am surprised that even Paul Ryan hasn’t figured out (Trump is beyond stupid, has no clue) . But as you say what’s getting on the way of a big “win” is that they are trying to get rid of Medicare now, isntead of trying to do it after 2018, which unless they screw up royally they will still have majorities in both houses and the puppet in the White House

Tough spot for the soulless malingerers.Term in Congress that will be the target of the wrath of millions of Americans that viscerally understand what has happened to them or Teflon Don will call down a political tweet scourge on them at election time. These are currently the people determining our financial and societal future.Shudder

“The change in Medicaid sounds small, but it’s close to $150 billion in
increased spending on the people that need it the most,” he told
reporters. "Look, does every group get everything they want [in the
bill]? No. But if you’re negotiating in good faith and you get a large
> amount of what you want, it’s time to come around and support."

Hahahaha -breathe- hahahaha

Negotiating in good faith
with Donald Trump! and the shark tank Freedom Caucus
 and Lyin Ryan
That is like sticking one’s hand into a tank full of piranhas - in good faith.

What they havenʻt told him is that the “movement” he leads is actually a bowel movement.

It is a puzzlement confronting the GOP rank-and-file: vote against Lyinʻ Ryanʻs POS
 er
Bill for whatever reason and face a 2018 primary challenge; or, vote for Lyinʻ Ryanʻs POS
 er
Bill and face a real challenge in the 2018 General.

P.S. Hint to any GOP rank-and-filers reading this missive. You can vote against the AHCA because as shitty ideas go, this one is a giant among turds, or you can vote against the AHCA because as giant turds go, this one isnʻt nearly big enough. (For those not catching the metaphor: the AHCA is a really rotten idea, just look at the CBO score. But it doesnʻt go nearly far enough for the reactionary idiots who have backed them.)

Rock, meet Republican Congressman. Hard Place, meet Republican Congressman. I’ll just leave y’all together to get acquainted.

Pure bluster. Trump may have followers but he doesn’t control the GOP apparatus and couldn’t ID an up and coming primary challenger in any district. Priebus might but his days are numbered.

The GOP is totally damned. They are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

And yet, he castigates Congress saying THEY ran on repealing Obamacare. Once again, the “rules” don’t apply to The Donald. Sigh
