Projectors gotta project.
Have I forgotten my Machiavelli? Isn’t it knowledge is power and you wield it to your best advantage? Didn’t Comey just spill his guts?
Machiavelli For Dummies See the illustrious Etienne K. Bannon. Cliff Notes Kings.
They sent this to the Mueller team?
What?
“Machiavellian,” dishonest and “unbounded by law and regulation.” Yes, I was gonna say, this is pure projection. And an example of lawyers making themselves look stupid and unprofessional. Now if you had said of Comey that he has delusions of grandeur, I think you’d be spot on.
Reminds me of when I was young and we used to trade notes in class. Sure Mr. Mueller was vastly impressed! Trump seems to be a mega magnet for the sort of stupid that can’t be fixed.
“Over the last year, Mr. Comey has engaged in a pattern of calculated unilateral action unbounded by governing law, regulation and practice, and plainly motivated by personal and political self-interest,” wrote Kasowitz
Coming from the Big K, is that condemnation or high praise? I can’t tell.
Look in the mirror, assholes!
Another crappy AP article diluting the TPM brand.
The letter, obtained by The Associated Press
The entire point of the letter.
It’s not clear to what extent, if any, the attacks on Comey have resonated with Mueller’s team
It is clear that Mueller’s team considers it irrelevant. AP, as Trumpp’s lawyers know, will get no comment from Mueller’s team, so the letter will dutifully present the contents of the letter with no rebuttal.
AP is working for Trumpp here, for free. TPM is playing a minor support role.
OK can someone remind me is Kasowitz delusional asshole #1 or #2?
And why has asshole whatever # he is complaining the Mueller about Comey being untrustworthy when Comey wasn’t the one talking to all those Russians?
If Comey were Machiavellian, he would still be head of the FBI. It’s because he was honest and would not pledge a loyalty oath to the Oaf in the White House that he lost his job. He was not even allowed to go back to his office to pack up and say good-bye to colleagues. And what law did he break, the loyalty law?
I disagree. The story is an excellent index of the quality of Trump’s legal team.
That they would do something so lame brained speaks volumes.
Suspect in criminal investigation informs investigators that chief witness lacks credibility? I think Mueller understands where the credibility problem is located.
Trust me, if the word “Machiavellian” was used or implied, Dotard didn’t come within 18 golf holes of writing / reviewing his note.
here’s the correct preface:
With a complete absence of self-awareness and stunning hypocrisy Kawowitz wrote: “Over the last year, Mr. Comey has engaged in a pattern of calculated unilateral action unbounded by governing law, regulation and practice, and plainly motivated by personal and political self-interest,”
also, you might have concluded the article a better way than “Today, you are faced with a terrible blight on our Department of Justice which must be addressed to restore and inspire confidence in the Department,” Dowd said in calling for the grand jury investigation."
a bit abrupt - try a conclusive sentence
from the archives:
{AP} Hastings, October 1066. King Harold was hit in the eye with an arrow. No one knows who shot the arrow. The Normans are making arrangements to reside in Britain for some time.
The June 27, 2017, letter was written by Marc Kasowitz,…
His Shysterness.
The document does not focus on questions of Trump’s guilt or innocence.
When in doubt, shout!
I hope whoever Mueller tasked with reading this screed got hardship pay for having to wade thru the ocean of rhetorical bullshit to get to their fucking case.
I’m surprised they didn’t mention Comey’s night gig as a gay gigolo, nicknamed “Donkey.”
I thought everybody knew Patrice has been his beard since 1987.
But … he was Machiavellian in favor of Trump, at least until the election.
