Discussion: Trump Just Pardoned A Conservative Troll Who Funneled Donations Through His Mistress

Now t. has pardoned two racists and one traitor: D’Souza, Arpaio, and LIbby.

Quite a pattern.

And his first war is a trade war.

Oh, such winning.

I don’t care about Trump’s pardon of D’Souza. It’s a legal use of the pardon power because Trump was not involved in the crime for which D’Souza was convicted (as far as we know). What I do find interesting is that Trump always projects and telegraphs what he’s most worried about by the issues he chooses to focus on. Here, D’Souza made illegal campaign contributions. That seems to be his worry in the Trump Russia probe. He has his own campaign finance reporting violation relating to the Daniels payment. But then there are the outright shakedowns and bribes (enter the Blagojevich pardon talk), which we all suspect has happened with respect to all the money Cohen has received from various sources. In addition, I don’t think Trump has a handle on how many people made illegal contributions on his behalf. He just knows it happened.

What are the odds he pardons Oliver North, et al? And then G. Gordon Liddy, et al.?

Dinish is a piece of shit no doubt, but what he did was minor. When Democrats had a chance to prosecute REAL criminal behavior that resulted in an unnecessary war that cost 5 trillion and thousands of lives, and fraud that nearly resulted in economic collapse and DID result in a decade long recession, Democrats took a pass. Your outrage is misplaced.

JFC on a cracker! He has no clue whatsoever that his whimsical declarations have real life impacts and it’s deliciously ironic that nearly every bullshit policy he’s attempting to implement is shitting on “his” supporters.

Thank you for this insight. I always learn from your comments.

Pardoning a lying philanderer for crimes of dishonesty to the government? Sounds like a man after President Snowflake’s heart. Seriously, how soon until he gets appointed.

What D’Souza said at his sentencing hearing, in an effort to convince the judge to go along with the deal that kept him from serving time in federal prison: “I knew that causing a campaign contribution to be made in the name of another was wrong and something the law forbids. I deeply regret my conduct.” So much for that.

In the opening paragraph, why is the word ‘nonsense’ in quotation marks?

Who will be next: Jimmy Hoffa? Hitler? Lee Harvey Oswald?

Quid pro quo: He pardons Pence (for everything/anything) and then he resigns…

With D’Souza, and now the possibility of Stewart and Blagojevich you have (in the order of the criminal) illegal campaign contributions, lying to Fed investigators plus obstruction and selling government offices/access…

Gee, everything Mueller is investigating.

What next? A posthumous pardon to Charlie Manson? An elevation to sainthood for Richard Nixon?

Trump used his nonprofit foundation to make an illegal campaign contribution to Florida AG Pam Bondi. The worst that happened to him was having to pay a fine. Trump probably feels like D’Souza got railroaded for the kind of corruption Trump routinely gets away with.
