Discussion: Trump: It's 'For Other People To Say' If Bush In Iraq Was An Impeachable Offense

Discussion for article #246015

I’m another person. It was. The referendum we should have had in 2004 wasn’t Bush or Kerry, but rather the punishment for Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld. Life in prison, or the long drop?

I finally figured out Trump’s strategy. He’s running as a third party candidate, but doing it in the GOP primary so he can secure those voters who blindly vote the party line. He figures the GOP will back anyone with an ® after their ballot line, and that he can pull in third party voters as well. This might offset the demographic headwinds facing the GOP.

This may be what causes the baggers to turn on him. They love “Jar Dubba (as they pronounce it)” as much as they despise women, minorities and gays.

Which “other people?”

I’m curious as there are a buttload of other people out there.

Typical Trump…he throws things out there with the oh I don’t know and the puppet Media picks it up and makes it a story. Carson, with the knife stabbing Cruz with his not eligable now Jeb.with his brother and the Iraq war .that is how he keeps his hands clean and gets rid of his competitors. Watch Media…now it will be is iraq an Impeachable Offense…they will be having talking heard talking about it until Trump throws out something else. if nothing else he does know how to play the Media and his Trumpies…

It goes like this:

Ann Coulter spent years accusing liberals of being traitors for opposing Iraq War and blaming Bush for 9/11.

Now she has to defend Trump for saying it.

“Well, that’s for other people to say. And look, that is for other people to say,” Trump responded.

Number one, there were no weapons of mass destruction. So, you know, did they know there weren’t or not? That would tell you something right there."

Well, I am the “other people.” Yes, those fuckers knew there were no active weapons of mass destruction. The intelligence was cooked. The GWBush administration knew very well that the chemical weapons that the U.S. supplied Saddam Hussein many years earlier were not able to do anything anymore – they were worthless.

GWBush and his whole team knew the “intelligence” was false. Yes, even Colin Powell has blood on his hands – and he knows it. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Powell, Rice and a few others should all be behind bars for the rest of their natural lives.

I’ll say this much for the ignorant slob—he seems to have these occasional lucid moments when he realizes a) that he has no idea what he’s talking about and b) that his life has changed, he’s not sitting in his office with just his sycophants around, and if he says something publicly that’s a huge factual mistake it’ll go out and reverberate around in the media for a day or two in a way that makes him look bad. Palin never learned when to shut up, but he gets it now and then. This would be encouraging progress in, say, a stroke victim. In a Presidential candidate it’s more just a thing to notice as an interesting occasional counterpoint to the torrential outflow of pernicious nonsense.

After the most recent debate I’m a lot less worried about this guy. His reaction to being booed is telling. He physically recoils a little, then recovers and comes back with a version of “I know you are but what am I”. It’s not possible for this type of personality to survive & thrive in a general election. Hopefully.

Donald’s a pistol. Saying the unsayable. So a continued drip, drip, drip on the drips, drips, drips…Hard enough to balance the unicycle without juggling Fat Tony too!

“I can say this, it may not have been impeachable because it was a mistake. I think it was a mistake. But it was a horrible mistake. Number one, there were no weapons of mass destruction. So, you know, did they know there weren’t or not? That would tell you something right there.”

OK, but during the debate you said outright that they lied, that they knew there were no WMD’s. I don’t mind you harping on this theme at all, but get your story straight.

OMGosh … a little Latino Trump! Funny little kid. He’s going to make a great lawyer someday.

He is saying stuff that democrats (essentially the party leaders) have always wanted to say, but didn’t have the balls to say that in public settings.

Rarely, but sometimes I like what Trump says.
This is one of those times.

The one Democratic Party member I remember who was vocal at the time was Rep. Barbara Lee, Oakland, CA. Though she didn’t represent me directly, I was always proud to be across the Bay from her.
