It’s the exact same problem as blaming Obama for the death of Captain Khan in 2004 – Obama doesn’t have a time machine.
George Bush was President in 2006 when the Islamic State In Iraq was created, and Barack Obama was a first term Senator who had opposed the Iraq War that create the instability the Islamic State used to organize around.

‘Is there something wrong’ with denigrating a person with a lie? How amazing. What is even MORE amazing is that he, Trump would have left troops in Iraq without an SOFA because after all, they are collateral damage. Why any vet in this country would support this POS is beyond me…of course, I don’t understand ANYONE that would support this ignorant ass.

I’m starting to think he’s not really interested in attacking Clinton on her actual vulnerabilities—they’re not lurid and cartoonish enough to get that effect he’s after. He mentions the real stuff in passing, like it’s a boring chore to even think about it, and he hurries past it to yell about founding ISIS and abolishing the Second Amendment and all the rest. The real political world obviously doesn’t interest him, not enough to distract him from his conspiracy theories, any more than a dull-witted 14-year-old boy would lay aside his Marvel comics and pick up a Jane Austen novel.

This is O/T, but am I the only one who heard Khizr Khan with Chris Hayes on Monday night (8/8)? Here’s what I heard and would love to know more about:
“I have no political affiliation. I have voted Republican. I have voted Democrat. Lee Atwater was a close friend of mine that I was associated with.”
He was friends with Lee Atwater? Wish Chris Hayes had asked him about this.
