It’s not his base that matters. It’s the small but meaningful number of people who can go one way or the other. They need to, if they haven’t already, decide he’s just too weird and awful, and the reasons don’t matter. People care about stuff like this.

I’d hope so. But in the poll I found, the respondents said his use of twitter might hurt his reelection, not that they wouldn’t support him because of it. I’m still quite doubtful about the impact of his tweeting habit.
Probably good to avoid eating this as a steady diet. I’m surprised he hasn’t had multiple cancers with his healthy life style.

OT: Pelosi, amid yells of “impeach” at a public talk yesterday, she would only proceed with an “ironclad” case. I’m wondering how she defines that - this isn’t sarcasm; I’m sure she has a standard in mind. Unless she’s referring to the Senate, and then, well. I’ve always assumed she would go there at some point - maybe I’m wrong.

He thinks he can brute force his shit past whatever goalkeepers there are. And he is mostly right. Twitter is an achilles heel to our society. I don’t think anyone considered it being used this way by a runaway malign president. Even Nimrod Numskull could figure it out and it was like heroin and catnip and a flaming poker he could shove up America’s ass all-in-one. Giving a 24-7 megaphone to him.
Once the campaign was going and he could get a national camera on him ANY time he wanted it was game over. Might as well just burn down our entire communications systems and start over with all new rules and safeguards. He showed exactly how far our system can be turned against the people. He absolutely could never have dreamed in 1999 that he would have all this BULLHORN in his lap. Like he stole the microphone to the entire US Public Address system and we have to listen to his every raving and demented outburst.
You could name every notable person since the creation of our country, even 10 years ago I would have singled HIM out as the one person you had to keep it away from.
