And they have to take Palin, otherwise no deal.
Farmers have already lost orders for soybeans from China; losing the Mexican/Canadian market will put the final nail in the coffin of America’s food producers.
My snark-attempt failed again, damn…
I don’t know…Maybe the only way to get people to the polls this November or even to vote in the primaries is to organize some more mass protests to bring the message home again that Americans are sick of this monster and all his authoritarian go-it-alone bullshit. I’ve had it.
I looked up the number of protests that have been conducted in the year and a half since tRump has been in office and compared to past presidents…well, there really is no comparison, not even in comparison to W over the Iraq War.
If those people don’t show up when it counts most, it’ll all be for naught. Here’s hoping those protests and what they stood for, stay in the forefront of everyone’s mind and hearts. In case anyone needs a reminder…here’s Wikipedia’s collection of protests under the Great Orange Menace:
We must remain indivisible, but against this wholesale takeover of our democracy, particularly by those who have enabled this shit from the outset. Throw all these bums out of office. They are the ones that have let this asshole continue to destroy every norm, regulation and the rule of law our country holds dear…That means every Republican still in office that hasn’t announced retirement. We can’t go on like this…

Yep. Corn producers are about to face a double whammy. Not only will they lose exports to Mexico, a huge customer, it will also lose sales to the bio-fuel industries thanks to Pruitt’s gutting of renewable energy mandates.
With our birth rate at a record low, we need to be encouraging Mexican and other hard working immigrants to come here and prop up our safety nets. The last thing we should be doing is driving them away. Another point the NYT made a few days ago about a small town in Pennsylvania:
The icing and sprinkles on the cake, from his perspective.
'…I think we’ll probably very easily make a deal.”
Now where have I seen this approach before?
Stop threatening, asshole and just do it.
And please, MediaWhores, train your cameras on the faces of those 36 states that trade directly with Canada to see if you can capture the exact moment they realize how fucking dumb and wrong they were to support this feckless turd.
Please, please do this before midterms…Texas would have fits.
Greg Abbot must be holding his breath.
“Rise Up, Throw Out.”
That’s what I came up with, after vainly waiting for the DNC Press to figure out iMovie and get the message out.
And you’re right: politicos are afraid of big crowds that don’t go home, like Occupy Wall Street, which actually started scaring some of those scumbags and their congressional employees. But people keep putting off the chemo treatment until November, absolutely certain that they’ll go into full remission then. To me, that’s like all those deluded folks who really believed any conflict between the Union and Confederate states would last two weeks, one month tops.
“Look what I’m going to set on fire!!! What’ll you give me not to???”
I wouldn’t hold my breath about that one, if I were you.
Depends on what deals he has made with Putin and China. But I am guessing those are not the kind you have in mind.
Hope the Democrats figure that out before November.
When does the base figure out it’s not at all about them?
I think Canada and Mexico ought to do it themselves, and impose huge tariffs on US goods and services. Start making it impossible for Americans to travel - new visa requirements, long passport inspections, etc. Just clamp down on the borders. And keep it until Trump and Republicans are gone. No deals. Stony silence. We deserve it.
