Let’s see you can go after Trump for the same things he criticized Clinton for however unfairly.

Four dead in Niger with no real comment from the administration while Benghazi was investigated 9 times and Hillary testified for 11 hours. Trump would be exhausted if he had to sit through any hearing. Low energy!
Unfortunately, it wasn’t just the winger media that obsessed about tan suits, Benghazi, emails, friggin’ White Water for Christ’s sake, Scooby busses, “the cloud over the Clintons”, etc, etc, etc.
I’m not a Hillary basher nor a Bernie bot. I like them both. I stop whining and carping as soon as we pick a candidate and I support and vote for them in the general.
I see the Trump presidency as the inflection point, the point at which all the lies about right wing politics and economics become discredited.
People will see no benefits arising from Trump’s or the Congress’s policies: their healthcare, their jobs, and their salaries will all suffer, as will our country’s standing in the world community.
Meanwhile, opposition is building. I see more Republicans heading for the exits before the next election, and others losing to Democrats.
I do that too. You have to pick a team and play, right? But honestly, all I wanted to signal was that my only point was Hillary’s vastly superior to Trump by any sane standard, and that having made that point I wasn’t interested in talking about her merits compared to other possible candidates and rehashing a discussion that’s been extensively hashed already.
Problem is, the conservative/right wing thrives on hate. Hate is like throwing gasoline on their fire. Trickle down economics is the basis for their proposed tax plan. Do you think Trump voters realize that that supply side stuff has never worked? It’s kinda like that bouncing aero car you see in ancient black and white movies. Most of these idiots would choose one of those over a 747 if Sean Hannity said the 747 was designed by libruls. When healthcare price increases are blamed on Obama, CNN will call it a debate. Republicans cheat, and the Democrats affected the most don’t vote. So good luck with the next election.
I just don’t see that approach getting much traction. Especially now that the right wing base is falling for all this populist rhetoric about elitists.
When they see the tax “reform” primarily benefiting the rich, their health care getting sabotaged, when they see consumer, workplace, and environmental protections getting gutted, and no material improvement in the jobs situation, the Republican arguments will have less persuasive power.
I actually don’t have that attitude myself, but I get your point. I encountered some Trump supporters over the weekend and their lack of understanding of just about anything hit me a little hard.
“Why doesn’t WikiLeaks ever publish anything coming out of Russia?” Good question. Indeed, how long has this been going on. Beginning to look like Russia was the source of the previously published damaging information on the United States.
