I don’t know about this excuse. Yes, it’s transparently ridiculous enough to please supporters who figure he’s just sharing an eye-wink with them; but “lousy earpiece” sounds perilously close to “my hearing aid is going on the fritz”. The guy is nearly 70, after all…
So when President Trump starts a thermonuclear war, he can always blame it on a faulty ear piece.
A person who cannot admit he is ever wrong or mistaken has a serious personality problem. He cannot even ask God for forgiveness. Perhaps he thinks he’s greater than God. He doesn’t understand a thing about Christianity. My black neighbors are offended by his slogan “Make American Great Again.” To them it means get rid of the blacks, the Muslims, the Mexicans and we’ll make white America great again. The fault is not in an earpiece, it is in the brain behind it.

Also, if he really was having trouble hearing due to a faulty ear piece wouldn’t you say would you reat the question this earpiece isn’t working. Of course that my require you to admit you were not hearing and perhaps hurt your pride. Yet oh I did not hear the translator as my ear piece was not working so we went to war.
It was a network error between the earpiece and the mouth.

Over and over again, Trump has demonstrated an inability to accept responsibility for his own failures, mistakes, and shortcomings. This is yet another one of Donnie’s fatal flaws – he is totally incapable of ever admitting that he was wrong with respect to comments made in a tweet, a speech, or during an interview.
In addition, he has a propensity to engage in petty vindictiveness to the point of obsession. He expends a disproportionate amount of time attacking anyone who dares to question or challenge his self-serving actions, inflammatory commentaries, reality-devoid analyses, and innuendo-laden conclusions.

And Williams asserted afterwards how thrilled he is to hear the word of the voters.
