Discussion: Trump Honors Fallen Soldiers At Arlington National Cemetary

He was overheard telling the families:

“Tremendous. Congratulations. Beautiful medal you’ve got there. Have you seen the one I got in Saudi Arabia? Much, much nicer. Fantastic. They loved me. Couldn’t stop congratulating me on my landslide. Gotta go. I need a champagne popsicle.”

Don’t forget the guys with bone spurs who so badly wanted to serve.

The original song that was plagiarized into the “Star Spangled Banner”. An old British drinking song, “Anacreon in Heaven”

There’s nothing more sickening about the ongoing emergency that is the Trump Presidency than when this pathologically shallow and broken person pretends to care about anything other than his vulgar, hateful, sociopathic self.

I shudder to think how many of our honored dead were spinning in their graves at the sight of Trump at Arlington, representing the country they died to defend.

God rest their souls.

In Europe, he behaved like a “drunken tourist”. Back home, at Arlington National Cemetery, he behaved like a drunken tourist singing the “Star Spangled Banner” at Dodger Stadium while holding his ‘Dodger Dog’.

Kelly led the U.S. Southern Command and lost his son, Robert Kelly, who stepped on a land mine while on a Marine patrol in Afghanistan in November 2010. John Kelly’s other son, Johnny, is preparing for his fifth military deployment. And Kelly’s son-in-law Jake is a wounded warrior.

About which the Trump family knows and understands nothing.

I remember Trump crapping all over a Gold Star family, enough of his fake respect for fallen war heroes.

I saw that. His fundamentally infantile mind was clearly visible on his smirking face. And it stood out all the more standing next to two adults, both of them aware of what the day was about. How do people not see how broken he is? How? To my dying day I’ll never understand it.

As a former member of the US Army, I am insulted that a proven draft dodging coward is allowed to speak at this hallowed ground.

I just look at the people behind him, instead of the interloper and wonder how they got in.

Did Trump stop by the grave of Captain Humayan Kahn at Arlington Cemetery? You know the son of the Gold Star family who Trump showed shocking disrespect for last year?

For three and a half years I helped care for Vietnam casualties.
To have war mongering coward, who accepted a purple heart, and who never did a manly thing in his life place a wreath to honor our war dead, brings me to tears.

He did. He served in his own personal Vietnam.

As a veteran of the Gulf War I am disgusted. That being had no place in honoring the military. And damn those fools who voted him in.

…on a lighter note…

Turn the music up—it’s a three-day weekend.

Ivanka knows the true meaning of Memorial Day.
