Discussion: Trump Hits 'Failed Candidate' Romney Ahead Of Former Nominee's Big Speech

Discussion for article #246802

What a little scaredy-trump.

I read an article the other day about how Trump’s tactics are an example of a planning concept called the OODA loop—“observe, orient, decide, and act.” The idea is to throw maneuvers at your opponents quickly enough that they’re still reacting to the last one when you launch the next. The thing is, I just can’t believe these crude, stupid jibes actually work. But I guess a reality-show clown knows his audience best. Jackass, the Kardashians, Jersey Shore—I’m beginning to understand the country I live in. Shaking my head…

Romney’s upcoming speech will only add to his already big inventory of gaffes. He cannot restrain his need to condescend.

Yep… saw this nonsense coming a mile away. As soon as Rmoney announced he was gonna do this speech, it was only a matter of time before the Minister of Invective re-directed his laser toward Mitt.

Becoming too predictable, Trump. Becoming too predictable.

“Total loser!”

OMFG! What a lovely war. Mittflop attacking Teflon Don, a “great American” and “wildly successful businessman who understands our economy and our country,” just a few short years ago. He was, because Mittens told us so.
lmao

Oh gawwd’ Mitt! Just go away, now you just look, again, too late and sad.

BTW: Oh Mittens! The Donald has learned from you. He shakes his EtchASketch almost daily and will say and do anything to win also. You should be proud; you helped to build THAT.

Because you are looking at such statements through a reality/policy based lens. His supporters, and GOP voters at large to a certain extent, look at such statements through an emotional Domination/submission lens. And through their lens, Trump is clearly the dominate one.

His supporters are not interested in actual policies at all. That is why Trump is so shockingly light on any policy…because it doesn’t matter. They just want a bully to go beat up on everyone they hate…which is pretty much all politicians on both sides of the aisle right now. Big wall and deporting Mexicans? They don’t care about that…it just looks like Trump is beating up on Mexicans, and that’s what they want to hear.

Battle of unguided anti-missile missiles.

True that and although Trump’s a reality-show guy maybe pro wrestling is the apter metaphor I could have used, and his current supporters are the equivalent of the little kids who think the wrestling is real.

I think this country has been in a continual, disorienting OODA loop for a long time - since at least the “election” of GW. Trump is just the inevitable next stage in the evolution - someone with such a mastery of rapidly generating new outrages, lies, etc. that we are rendered incapable of effectively responding. Still, it’s quiet and there’s no rush in the voting booth.

I’ve considered Trump a new phenomenon, but he really isn’t – just a new package. The US has a long history of demagogues who deftly used the media available to them to foment anger and chaos to seize power – William Randolph Hearst, Huey Long, Father Coughlin, Joe McCarthy – just for starters. I was agitated and could not sleep the night of Super Tuesday, and turned on the idiot box and CITIZEN KANE was on. 1941.

The only time these rats tell the truth is when they are fucking each other over. Yes, Romney is a failure. Yes, Trump is a fraud. etc. etc.

You guys, I have the best idea for an Odd Couple remake.

One is a rich, out-of-touch Republican with terrible ideas that will never be president.
The other is a rich, out-of-touch Republican with terrible ideas that will never be president that also says “pussy” a lot.
