“We teach them” to shoot little girls and to spray civilian neighborhoods with ordinance just for funzies, “and then we treat them very unfairly…” Oh, wait, we developed an all volunteer military to stop that sort of crap. Pardoning bad actors, be they military or civilian, leaves a stain and a stench we may never outlive as a people. Must make Putin smile.
Good Lord. Someone didn’t just criticize Obama for what Bush did.
Никогда не ходи полным нацистом.
Maybe. One might posit that he may be “taking one for the team”. Texas’ 21st District is suburbia west of Austin and northwest of San Antonio and is about 62% white and 30%. It’s not only deep red country, but no doubt full of white people very VERY angered and frightened of the high Hispanic population and its continued rapid growth. So yeah, he’s safe as shit pulling this move and will probably rise in prominence back in TX for it.
O/T: Your Bacon is about to go Bacon MAX…
O thanks for letting all the air out of the balloon.
The bill has been delayed for 5 months and the Senate GOP already passed it and wanted to get it done. My point was simply that.
Trump added: “the most unfairly treated are convicted murderers and thugs.”
The people he’s trying to pardon were mostly turned in by other soldiers. The military would not be pleased
I know…sorry…I meant that to be kinda tongue in cheek. :After all, much of the funding was for areas of Trumpland, so of course they wanted it passed.
Trump on war criminals… “They’re treated Very Unfairly”
Trump’s inner thoughts… “Just. Like. Me.”
Republicans. First in line to call for tax cuts.
Also first in line to ask for a handout.
Throwing convicted murderers in jail…so unfair.
If he pardons these men I have no doubts that some US soldiers will be dragged through the streets and mob-murdered by angry civilians someday and they’ll point back to this non-sensical embrace of lawlessness and cruelty as the reason they no longer view US soldiers as anything other than murderous goons. Veterans and servicepeople everywhere should be incandescent in their outrage.
From what I read, some veterans are furious about this.

Let us see what Lindsay Graham has to say about it.I am suuuuuuure he will support the UCMJ without hesitation even if his BFF Trump doesn’t.
(Psst He is a former JAG officer)
[/quote]He’s also got his head up Trump’s butt and I’m not sure he can any longer see the UCMJ from his current position.
I really wish people would think this stuff through. Imagine if soldiers from another country came and occupied Kansas City to “liberate” it from Trump. Then in the course of that liberation they just shot randomly into neighborhoods and murdered Kansas City residents with sniper rifles. Then they go home, are found guilty of criminal misconduct and then pardoned. Americans would go to the nukes in response to such an affront. That’s the rub, if this type of thing goes down: America just ignoring the laws of war, the world will end up a more violent and terrible place and the genie cannot be put back into the bottle. Countries the world over will say the laws of war are simply Al Davis’ commandment: “Just Win Baby”
Yes, this is the guy that took away money for upgrading military housing to build his jackass wall.
Clemency for Col. Kurtz!
“Trump says he hasn’t made any decisions on pardons for troops accused of war crimes”
Intervention sorely needed.
I wish they would too. Some do. Some find it more convenient to their ideology not to think about things. Mostly they are the christians who are definitely doing their best to ruin America.
