And I’m assuming stripping US citizens of their passports, with the goal of stripping them of their citizenship. Even though passports come under the state department, deportation procedures fall under the DoJ.

Seriously: I can remember being worried about whether corruption things would get shoved under the carpet back when Schneiderman had to step down. Now, with hindsight, it is crystal clear that that was absolutely the best thing that could have happened.

I just spent 5 minutes unsuccessfully searching for the clip in The American President where Annette Benning is emptying her sweater drawers in the White House and leaving Michael Douglas and makes a pithy remark about his Criminal Reform Bill which doesn’t do squat. I suspect any Criminal Reform Bill which is a Lennon-McCartney collaboration of two of the most opportunistic awful GOP Senators ever cannot be worth stabbing anyone in the back over. Not even The Keebler Elf himself.
