Can we PLEEZE get back to talking about Mexican rapists crossing the border with Obama’s blessing???
Republicans, this is your Id.
Own it. You built that.
A man who attacks a veteran, and yet avoided military service because he “wasn’t a fan” of the Vietnam War.
Who brags that he gives to candidates from both parties and they “do what I want.”
Entitled, privileged, arrogant, sociopathic.
Even though I disagree with Senator John McCain vociferously on most every political point, I must honor and respect his status as a surviving P.O.W. What Trump did, in every decent person’s opinion, was take a crap on every American P.O.W. (and every P.O.W. that ever was for that matter), and he should have his ass kicked royally by the media on all sides, effectively putting an end to his Presidential candidacy charade. Which is just too bad. But he deserves that and worse for this monumental trespass of decency.
Trump said he avoided service in the Vietnam War through student and medical deferments, adding that he did not serve because he "was not a big fan of the Vietnam war.
He came, he saw, he chose not to conquer because he realized he was Rush Limbaugh’s anal cyst…
This is wonderful. Donald is getting set to run as an independent… Run Donald, run!
I’d put it this way about Trump: from my perspective he’s a fucking asshole with way too much money for his own good.
He thinks his money makes him something “special”. It doesn’t. It makes him an asshole with a lotta money. That’s all.
I mentioned this over in the forum thread but I’ll say it here too. I’ve talked to Canadian conservatives who been downright hostile or dismissive of veterans. Thinking they set themselves too far apart and expect to much reverence no matter what they did or how they served. Particularly with the one since World War II. So I wonder if maybe this will touch something with some members of the base. Even if they don’t dare say it out loud. That being said I fully expect him to be slaughtered by the party elites over the next few days.
LOL. Damn, that explains a lot.
I’ve figured it out. People have called Trump a racist, but that merely scratches the surface. He doesn’t just hate Mexicans or Blacks or Chinese. He hates EVERYONE who isn’t him. Has he said a single positive word about anyone? No.
I remember that like it was yesterday. I remember all the idiots at the Republican national convention wearing purple bandages to mock Senator Kerry’s patriotic service to our country. I remember being outraged that no one would condemn Karl Rove and all those so called “heartland of America” types who supposedly honored military service for stooping to this level.
Trump is simply wrong. But where was Lindsay Graham and the RNC when that was going on not so long ago? For that matter, where was John McCain when his friend, John Kerry was getting savaged?
The End
I am becoming more and more convinced that this is a sort of performance art character he has adopted just to see how far he can go with “you can fool some of the people all of the time.”
Trump didn’t just take a cheap shot at McCain. He also insulted the families of every member of the military who was ever a POW.
This is the beginning of the end. And it can’t come soon enough. One may not like McCain but he did serve as opposed to Donald who had several deferments
Asked why he didn’t serve, Trump said, “I had student deferments and ultimately had a medical deferment because of my feet. I had a bone spur.” But Trump said he did not recall which foot was injured and instructed reporters to look up his records
He said his daughter Ivanka was very attractive and he would date her. How’s that for icky?
and one of those benefactors was a W supporter who had a chance to serve twice…
Let’s face it: nobody WANTED to go to Vietnam, even the enlistees (except for guys like Kerry and McCain, who clearly set their sights on political careers). Every draft eligible male who could afford to go to college did so. I don’t fault Trump for avoiding the draft. However, to suggest that a man who spent six years in a hellhole in North Vietnam is somehow less than heroic is a slap in the face not just to McCain (whom, to be honest, I have wanted to slap in the face a few times) but to everyone who fought and died in that war despite not really being committed to its ideals, whatever the hell those were.
Just when I thought my “respect” (so to speak) couldn’t get any lower, Trump comes along and manages to spew hateful bilge about a respected member of his own party. I wouldn’t vote for McCain and won’t when he runs for his senate seat again but I respect that he served in the military, and that he’s served in elected office. Trump has done neither. In fact Trump avoided serving.
Trump is a coward like the a majority of US citizens that use us as their cannon fodder avatars. They would never serve and profess to support us with vacuous “thank you for your service” statements. If they really cared they would flood Congress with phone calls to have us taken care of and made whole again. The Donald is one of the greatest cowards of this country. VNV.

P.S. If you’re wondering about the National Science Foundation
[/quote]Just read the link on NSF. Hadn’t been aware of that. Thanks, yet more dystopian Republican “this is how we govern” shit. It’s like a dark, evil oil oozing everywhere right now in government.
My hard core Republican friends are too busy screaming the sky is falling due to socialist-dictator-Muslim-US hating Obama. While their party is chipping away at the pillars of creation. Short sighted beyond imagination, beyond belief.
