One can only hope…
They already floated this. Coulter, Hannity etc. After the wiretapp tweetstorm, the first Wikileaks dump about the CIA had all that UMBRAGE garbage in it. Once that hit, they tried to make fetch happen by saying the CIA hacked Clinton and made it look like the Russians, using UMBRAGE.
This happened. It was a solid week, this is when they were saying Trump is at war with DC and the Deep State.
I used to think the Steele dossier was a side show. What does Grassley think he accomplishes by punching a few holes in it. I think all the rest of the emerging evidence is far more damaging than some Russian honey pot report. The best Grassley can hope is we are all going to remember our image of Russian prostitutes peeing on the Donald in some Russian hotel.
He’s becoming a Prick-tator. That’s from Colbert.
Sen Corker of TN says no sanctions against Russia for hacking the election. What happened to the Republican party?
What happened to the Republican party?
Sleeping with the enemy.
And just in case you think Putin is a strong leader: USA Today: Mysterious rash of Russian deaths casts suspicion on Vladimir Putin
What burns me is when the press bends over frontwards to hit the Reset Button and discuss Trump’s war with the press like it’s a legitimate issue. They’re normalizing a system that they would be killed under if they did their job properly.
Heh. I love this line in The Hill article,
If Comey doesn’t respond, the GOP senator appeared to hint that he would be willing to hold up Trump nominees.
Grassley seems to be going after Comey primarily in an attempt to obfuscate the issue on behalf of Trump and his administration, not so much in an effort to help clarify issues related to the Steele dossier. Grassley, like most Rs, is more than willing to slow-walk this investigation by the Senate. But whatever…It seems to me, if he holds up Trump’s nominees, we will all be better off in the long run, no matter his reasons for doing so.

Trump should talk more about his electoral college victory. A lot of people don’t know he won that.
[/quote]What he needs are diagrams showing the EVictory. Maybe he should resign and build a life size model of his enormous victory. He’ll need so much space, he’ll have to go to Mars.
We can launch the expedition on Earth Day. It’s really the least we can do for the planet.
Bret Stephens will also be needed.
At least Hillary finally admited that she was responsible for her losing campaign. So all the Hillarybots can finally stop blaming everybody else but her.
Now, she should just show the same class and dignity that Joe Biden just did by removing her name from contention in 2020, but she probably won’t. She is probably thinking about running (and losing) again.
Whack-a-doodles. Totally bonkers.
Yeah because Tulsi 2020, right? Tulsi Gabbard is so dumb she has a Tulsi2020 site but no Tulsi2018 site.
I think the Repubs are going after the Steele dossier to try to save themselves when the scandal breaks wide open. “Hey we couldn’t have known. All we had was the Steele dossier and it’s all wrong.” Otherwise it doesn’t make sense. Why would problems with the dossier discredit independently arrived at information by the FBI?
That Trump tweeted something self-aggrandizing is not surprising. The shocking thing in this piece is Clinton’s lack of humility and seeming inability to reflect on the magnitude of her failure. Clinton accepting blame for her loss and bowing out of the public eye graciously would be a step in the right direction. At this point she is gumming up the works while Sanders is out there doing the real work of growing the party.
Donald has learned he can say a lot of bullshit and there are always some people that keep coming back to hear more of it. So he’s been stuck in this mode of operation for most, if not all, his life.
There is a reason that Ros-Leihtinen and Chaffetz who have seen the classified information said…er… um foot surgery, uhh next week, ya that’s it I’m out of here or in Ros-Leihtinen’s case …oh I’m tired.
No one leaves like that unless there is an impending cloud of doom that they want no part of ,or questions they don’t want to answer
“Why after being informed that there was direct collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians did you fail to act.”
That’s a question we would like asked wouldn’t we ?
Like hiring a Manafort lackey to run is campaign?
Float like an anvil, sting like a dandelion?
Tweeting in 140 characters - so much easier than … oh, I don’t know, answering questions in an interview and maybe even a follow-up question. Still usually not coherent expression of rational thought, but it doesn’t strain the brain as much.
Yes! Hillary knows how to play him like a fiddle. I love her trolling of Trump and hope she keeps it up. His replies are pure comedic gold!
