Trumpās scouting outing was one of the most exposed and embarrasing events in modern Presidential history. He tapped the adolescent amygdala as if he lives there himself.
It really brings a profound question to mind.
Is Trump corrupting these organizations, or is he just exposing how far they really are from their own creeds with their real deeds?
Why do they have to poison so many young minds with ideological hatred in the process?
Thereās the real Trump story, that there are EXTREMELY profane things going on that are perverting some of our most cherished institutionsā¦
But, now the case can be made that Trump is exposing The Big Lie at every level, even in our most naively cherished institutions.
Maybe we need to look closer at the Scouts and their entire process, I have been both a leader and a scout and I have stories to tell they want untold.
Personal stories, about people close to me, so I keep them to myself in respect for them. But most of you know where this goes. There is an unseemly element historically entwined in that organization that is more than a little troubling, one weāve seen before in other authoritarian constructs similar to the Scouts.
Trump may not be corrupting nearly as much as he is exposing existing corruption, and the fact that some of those institutions had problems in the first place, and Trump just fit their mold so well, they donāt realize how acquiescing to him at all represents that fundamental failure of code and creed in the first place.
How did the Scouts descend to this place in the first place? Why are they cheering Trumpās delusional elation?
The Fellows at the CIA werenāt so willing to cheerlead when he did it to them. Clearly, these young men are not nearly as wise and much more impressionable.
I wonāt talk about the personal stuff any more, Iāll leave it at that, but this may be a good time to talk about how Trump is exposing the soft underbelly of right wing brainwashing in our nationā¦ those boys didnāt get those boos from each other, they learned it from someone else.
