Discussion: Trump Finally Releases First General Election TV Ad–On Immigration (VIDEO)

Figures Drumpf would have an ad that appeals to the Guns, God, and White Hoods groups.

How easily they are willing to forgive and forget all the promises he made and all the lies he told.

I could be wrong, but this doesn’t seem like an ad that is looking to close the gap, just bolster his base support.

Was that Roger Ailes doing the voice-over?

You know what gets me? If the GOP didn’t hate brown people, and really believed in helping small businesses and families, immigrants would be on board in a heartbeat. The GOP’s investment in racism above their professed values is killing them with the very people who would save them.

Not as good as the trailer from “Disaster Movie”

The “patriot” in the photo won’t be able to make it for a few years. Alas, Jerry DeLemus has “other commitments.”

Trying to be halfway serious here. My first impression with the sound off: In the second half are showing clips from Iraq or America? Did anyone else get that vibe–amidst the other bull shit of that ad?

I seriously doubt he’ll spend any more than a few million here and there because he’s still trying to save the bulk of the money for himself to pay off his personal loans or find a way to pocket the balance when he loses.

I don’t believe a few dystopian ads about how America is a cratering hellfire pit of moral decay, is going to get him very far or move the needle much on his tanking campaign.

But whatever…Ooga-booga-booga…It’s sort of all he’s left with at this point.

That wasn’t real. I didn’t see that. That wasn’t real. That COULDN’T have been real! I weep for people raised on the movies that have been made over the last 35 years.

Yep. It was made to look like a war zone with full military compliment down at the border…or something. Why go to war elsewhere when you can have one of your own right here in your own backyard? That’s the vibe I got.

The ad turns to Donald Trump’s campaign promises: an America that’s “secure” with “terrorists and dangerous criminals kept out,” and “our families safe.”

make him define those words.

make him pivot.

Exactly. A frightening percentage of people on America we love a war with Mexico to keep them illegals out.

I’m sorry, perhaps I’m naive but how do people who don’t have valid social security numbers collect social security benefits? Or Medicare? The sheer volume of documentation needed to obtain anything government issued, from a driver’s license to a passport, let alone a social security card, is astounding.

Just another fear-based lie from Don HO.

Wait. Are you telling me when he ate the taco bowl, he was pandering and being insincere?? Go figure!

and as of now Mexico is working with US tax dollars to keep migrants from using that route.

I would have figured her for something more of a sex tapey kind of thing for her “debut.”

Really bad timing. Trying to degrade the Syrian refugees just as the story of a little 5 year old boy in among the bombings won’t fly. The ad is heartless.

This ad is boring and stale. Let’s look at something funny, and inspiring instead!
