Discussion: Trump: Feds Are Letting Immigrants 'Pour Into The Country' To Vote

Baloney re not being able to remove the stench. Time after time they get reelected. And it will continue that way. By all historic standards the GOP should be going down for the count for at least a generation. Not gonna happen. They keep getting elected and reelected. Until the stench hits home, the cultists will keep electing them. And it’s clear the cult population is substantial.

I don’t disagree but he will be finished from ever climbing into that oval office chair. At this point I am glad. He is not going to win. Most watched debate ever showed how ill prepared and unqualified Trump is to be President. I am no fan of Pence but it was obvious Pence trolled Trump in that VP debate. Pence used Trump to try to spring board for a run in 2020. His own VP screwed him over.

Kaine was doing what a VP is suppose to do. Take one for the Prez candidate Hillary. When this election is over it will be looked back how scary Trump came to actually winning. As I stated in my other post. I already voted. Early voting is already going on in many states. I gave $97 to Hillary’s campaign which is twice more then I ever gave Obama’s campaign.

I think it’s more working the refs. And his followers are stupid enough to believe it. But will anyone of them take a shot at Hillary because “she cheated”?

The cult population doesn’t have to be substantial. If the minority finesses favorable Congressional districts through gerrymandering they control the game. For all their supposed ground game expertise and study of metrics and data Democrats blew Congressional redistricting after the 2010 census.

May I ask how you come to that conclusion? I don’t think it’s that substantial, it’s just noisy and obnoxious.

We’re still the majority in the country. We’ve always dealt with groups on the far right and we always will. This isn’t the kind of war anyone wins - it is an always war between progress and people who refuse progress.

Del Cueto does not strike me as having any brains. The deadline to vote in Texas is in just a few days. I just don’t see our federal government conspiring to use immigrants to win the presidency. This is just one more thing the Trump Republicans are conjuring up, another reason to not vote for Trump–more of the same—racisim and hate.

The smell of desperation. Delicious!

Time for finger-pointing is past (and I have already done my part). It’s either “racial” nationalism (for accepted people) or American citizenry. Whatever one’s past political leanings, we’re got one shot at this on 8 November 2016. We miss the mark and our country is GONE.

Josh’s “Storm and Menace” essay (written to-day) should be committed to memory. The gist of it (for me) is:

“If you think that they will not come for you because you are still more ‘acceptable’…wait…they WILL eventually come for you.”

As a Latino, I cringed when Rubio, Cruz and others (like Labrador) went full-Bagger on us. I cringed when a brown-skinned, crinkly haired Latino made fun of Michelle Obama on Univision. In the times I have been in this country for the past 30 years, I have seen Latinos operate the full faux-redneck playbook using the dictum that straight, wavy or curly hair made our version of brown more acceptable to whites. Hell, half of Latinos are classed as “white”.

But Trump is wielding a hammer (lumping Latinos into not “deplorables” but UNDESIRABLES) in an unprecedented way…

And this bigotry is catching…spilling over to the Jewish people…and anyone else this sick fuck is after (see O’Reilly’s INSULT of Asians).

The choice is clear: white nationalism or American citizenry

Oh Donnie, Donnie, Donnie! The howler TrumPencezees’ are already on board…and almost everyone else isn’t buying the snake oil (*equal parts: hate/bigotry/xenophobia) you’re selling.
Time to stop…
Your “idea machine” (aka: dead horse) is kaput!

I am pro union, too, but can’t figure out how come the Border folk are supporting Trump. I’m all for establishing a decent immigration policy, but this thing needs to be worked out together and unite Americans, not divide them. So, does anyone know why the Union is supporting Trump?

The point is Trump is not going to win. Before the debate I had Hillary at 272 electoral votes. But it was getting worrisome with Colorado getting a lil shaky. But really Trump got lucky. He started pushing Hillary’s health. Then she was sick. BTW I have wondered did Trump have a paid spy in Hillary’s circle. Pretty coincidence Trump pushed Hillary’s health and she turned out to be sick. This lead to the bad polling. Then the debate started. Hillary looked great, performed as expected. Trump had the worst debate ever. Hillary’s health not a worry and I now have her with 322 electoral votes and 538 even has her back winning Ohio and Iowa on top of that 322.

I’m not very happy about majority ownership in a car if the (alleged) minority owns the steering wheel and ignition keys.

This border guy should lose his job. Trump is a stupid ass. They are supporting him for one reason only. Deportation police means jobs for these guys. Good immigration policy means less jobs for them and more jobs for immigration lawyers. There are always winners and losers. It is like the DEA - they love the war on drugs because it keeps them employed. Relaxation of drug laws mean they lose and health professionals benefit. You are being used Trump and you are so dumb you don’t even get it.

Desperate times call for (even more) desperate lies. Nice try at scapegoating, sir; care to back up your stories with any facts? Not bloody likely…

I want Congress back too.

But that’s a different issue than whether or not the country is really like Trump and his supporters. No we aren’t, not the majority anyway.

I’ll tell you what will change Congress = when we get the SCOTUS back and a new set of judicial eyes can look at the election maps.

oh, you got it-- another conspiracy that Trump just throws out there with hopes it gets under the skin of already angered voters who see their good old days gone and are incapable of seeing that our best days are ahead.

But you gotta appreciate what he’s doing to ensure that Latinos will turn out to vote overwhelming against Democrats. Well done, sir!

They are not substantial. They are very loud. They make up 30% of the GOP base. Only about 60% of the voting eligible public at best actually vote. They are a minority in this country but very loud. Like the drunk in a bar ranting. BUT when a candidate like Trump comes around this close to making a huge difference in this country. They will come out from under their rocks and make alot of noise. After Trump hopefully loses. They will go climb back under their rocks.

But they will always be there and always have. I was just reading about the 1884 election. Guess what a huge issue was? Concerns over all the Chinese immigrating into this country and the fears over this issue. See it’s been going on forever. I am of Irish descent. The Irish were harassed when they came to the USA. What Trump has done is nothing new in this country’s election history.

Yes - always. Sometimes they are quieter but right now is a very reactionary period in history. The right is making noise all over the world because the 20th century was, socially, a progressive century and this is the big pushback for that. You know progress always wins, right? It’s like the arc of history bending toward justice. Eventually progress goes forward because that’s inevitable.

The reactionaries are the equivalent of King Canute and the tide - can’t stop the tide, regardless of who you are.
