I have lost tract here. So that’s lie 80001???
"I don’t even know who Matt Whitaker is, but he is owed a lot of thanks by our nation. And Russia.”
“I don’t know who gave you that” is a weird thing to say right after you accuse somebody of making something up. Because if you made something up, nobody gave you the story. You made it up.
NYT is one big lying machine, unlike you, Donnie, pure as the driven snow.
There’s not much anymore that is certain, but I am damn sure that I don’t owe Matt Whitaker shit.
“I don’t know who gave you that.” Like he’s unaware of the Times story, and as far as he knows these are just baseless rumors that waft up from the gossip sewers, just a thing honest public servants have had to endure from time immemorial. This is what Trump does as a classic bullshitter with Putinesque fillip to it: he acts as if nothing is true and verifiable, including and especially information prejudicial to him.
ETA of course they contacted him for a response.
“Well, you would say that wouldn’t you?”
If Trump denies something I guess we should take him at his word.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump said Thursday he was not aware of the payment made by his personal attorney to an adult film star that she has claimed was to secure her silence about their alleged affair.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, the president for the first time addressed revelations that attorney Michael Cohen paid Stormy Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, $130,000 as part of a nondisclosure agreement brokered just days before the 2016 presidential election. Cohen has said the money came out of his own pocket.
Trump said he had not been aware that Cohen had made the payment, nor did not know where the money came from. Asked why Cohen paid Daniels, Trump replied, "You'll have to ask Michael Cohen. Michael is my attorney. You’ll have to ask Michael."
Wouldn’t Manafort (who will spend the next 2,465 years in jail) have said the same thing to a question asked by Mueller?
So why are we to believe this future perp?
The Liar-in-Chief claims what?
And, I thought this was the thing that would bring him down big time, instead it was another in a major series of insults and lies to the world.
Also, lying to the press isn’t illegal per se, but it would seem to go a fair way towards that whole consciousness-of-guilt thing.
If there’s a fine for leaving the faucet running you just find the last guy at the sink and impose the fine.
If you find yourself drinking from a firehose suddenly you’re too damned busy to cause much of a ruckus about who turned on the water.
I give thanks every day that Matt Whitaker inadvertently made me aware of Big Dick Toilets Inc., because I’ve never laughed harder at the tinsel-and-aerogel fragility of the masculinity of some very, very masculine (or large!) men.
“No, not at all,” he told reporters Tuesday when asked if he had done that. “I don’t know who gave you that. That’s more fake news.”

"He continued to talk about the abundance of fake news circulating and waxed lyrical about Whitaker’s person, saying that he is owed “a lot of thanks by our nation.”
We need the Mike laffer on this one.
Though there was no evidence that Whitaker directly intervened, he did conclude that he could not reverse Berman’s recusal, per the Times.
So he looked into intervening, realized he couldn’t and so decided not to.
Every day–another outrage–another lie. The country is stopped cold by this Mobster in Chief and his blackmailed supporters in the US Senate. Hopefully “a time and a place of our choosing” is coming fast…the country can’t take much more of this criminal enterprise.
Two men in a public toilet peeing,. One says, man the water in this toilet is cold. They other says, yeah and deep too!
