Discussion: Trump Defends Yanking Credentials: I Rent The Arenas, I Make The Rules

The superseding rule is the U.S. Constitution’s guarantee of freedom of the press, you fascist clown. That you failed to see that is a per se disqualifier for elected office, let alone the highest office in the land

I know he insists he wouldn’t do this as president, but you can still tell a lot about what kind of president someone would be by looking at how they run their campaign. (Obama’s was professional, competent, and drama-free - for the most part, with only a few exceptions, that’s how his administration has been run). Trump would lash out at his perceived enemies and try to leverage his influence against them.

In his mind he’s dreaming of the day he can say , ā€œI run this country, I make the rules!ā€

Gratefully, his fascist dreams will stay confined to his sick small mind.

Nice to see he has an enemies list. Truly Nixonian.

If the press is serious about the Trump campaigns treatment they should join together and all refuse to cover any Trump related news or event until all are allowed access to the campaign.

Cutting Trump off from his free publicity could be dangerous. His head might explode.

Nope, not ready for prime time. Many MANY times Donald, people ā€˜vet’ candidates by watching what they DO out on the trail…Not what they SAY but what they DO. So, while you brag that you can do what you want while running and of course, you will be bound by the Constitution when elected, nobody’s gonna believe you…unfair or not.

No, all he wants is to have things his way all day, rule of law and Constitution be damned.

Unlike Trump, Reagan wasn’t a fascist. He was just an old man who believed Republican rule was the natural order of things but aberrations happened from time to time and Democrats might win a midterm here or there, so you had to keep them charmed.

That’s not to say he had any problem with fascists, of course. Some of his best friends were fascists.

Trump wouldn’t do this once he’s President, because all the journalists would be in prison.

With one look, I can break your heart
With one look, I play every part
I can make your sad heart sing
With one look you’ll know, all you need to know

I suddenly have this image in my head of Lesley Gore in a Trump wig. Unsettling, especially at this hour of the day…

Just like when the RNC rents the arena in Cleveland, they get to make the rules. Right?
