Discussion: Trump Defends Russia: ‘I’m Not Pro-Russia,’ But They Did Help Us Win Wars

Trump:

And in World War II, Russia lost 50 million people and helped us win the war

And immediately took over all of eastern Europe and tried to bury us… WHAT a fucking dolt

You would need to look long and hard to find a more vapid human being…am I “bad” for thinking calling him an imbecile would be a back handed compliment?

The French were instrumental in the Colony’s victory in the Revolutionary War. Yet Trump just labeled them a foe.

Trump is consistent. Consistently disingenuous.

We have been involved in a Cold War and numerous proxy hot wars with the Soviets and now the Russians, from the end of WWII to the present. It would be nice if we could “just get along” but not when a murderous KGB agent is calling the shots for Russia.

If only we could go back to the early 1900’s. Putin could be czar, and Trump could be an aspiring fascist dictator…

Like Patton said why don’t we leave the army here and take out the Russians .
Here’s a couple of quotes
" We promised the Europeans freedom. It would be worse than dishonorable not to see that they have it. This might mean war with the Russians, but what of it? They have no air force, and their gasoline and ammunition supplies are low. I’ve seen their miserable supply trains; mostly wagons drawn by beaten up old horses or oxen. I’ll say this; the Third Army alone and with damned few casualties, could lick what is left of the Russians in six weeks. You mark my words. Don’t ever forget them. Someday we will have to fight them and it will take six years and cost us six million lives. "

"The difficulty in understanding the Russian is that we do not take cognizance of the fact that he is not a European, but an Asiatic, and therefore thinks deviously. We can no more understand a Russian than a Chinaman or a Japanese, and from what I have seen of them, I have no particular desire to understand them, except to ascertain how much lead or iron it takes to kill them. In addition to his other Asiatic characteristics, the Russian have no regard for human life and is an all out son of bitch, barbarian, and chronic drunk. "

“I was saying to myself the other day, you know, Russia really helped us.”

Because, obviously, the best reference source for the history of American-Russian relations, American-European relations, American and World history, and all things a president should have more than an idiot’s knowledge of, is Trump’s big brain … and his delusions … and his kompromat-inspired paranoia.

I am still trying to make out what that next-to-last paragraph means. It’s like a catchall drawer of incomplete thoughts and deflections.

Idiot whisperers, can you help?

One war, actually. And it was a war that they were forced into before we were.

Churchill’s quote comes to mind. He was a life-long anti-communist, but when asked if Britain would work with the USSR after the Nazi invasion he said, “If Hitler invaded Hell, I should at least make a favorable reference to the Devil in the House of Commons.” Churchill was never under any illusion that the alliance was anything more than a marriage de convenance.

He says that he reads All Quiet On The Western Front. He’s been saying that for years.

Perhaps largely from omission, he remains ignorant of the eastern front. Quelle surprise!

He thinks All Quiet on the Western Front is about cowboys and Indians.

So this is the yarn spun straight from Putin’s lips, the new world order he’s been dangling before President Fuckwit.

“You and I, great comrades in arms, will protect a grateful people around the globe. Not the evil leaders, who do very bad things for a very long time. No, we shall lead the people. The people will love us, and we will cement a global unity lasting a thousand years. This is what you and I can achieve, once we clear away this messiness, and destroy the evil ones who wish to prevent it.”

It’s a cheesy Star Trek plot from the original series, season 1, except no phasers.

We all know Trump is a dolt. So let’s see this statement for what it really is; a dolt’s attempt to rationalize Putin appeasement.

It’s Palin-esque along the lines of seeing Russia from her house. Dolts trying to fake it.
