He can’t send the back. He only has authority over these people to 3 miles out. Once there they can go where they like. If he dumps them off in Syria they will be killed and the USA will have to live with that. Given the slaughter of Central American kids forced back didn’t get us too weepy eyed maybe it won’t matter what Trump does.
Oh com’on: this is the nation that took down Iran’s secular democratic government in 1953, that bombed the shit out of of Viet Nam and it’s neighbors for a decade, slaughtering millions and leaving behind pollution and wreckage we’ve never addressed on a false and wrong premise and resulting in well over 50,000 American deaths and twenty times that in grievous woundings and still lost FOR NOTHING, that spent well over a trillion and incurred debt of trillions more in invading and destroying Iraq all based on a lie aimed at stealing its oil reserves, that has an entire political power rallied around the idea of a religion that’s as big or bigger than Christianity as being inherently evil, that institutionally and legal enslaved millions of African descendants for a century, that maintains the biggest military the human species has ever known out of paranoia and uses it regularly to bully and slaughter, and that is BY FAR the biggest contributor to the slow-motion apocalyptic disaster that is human made climate change.
So what’s the big deal out of being the ‘exception’ in responding to this globally significant human disaster? Let them all drown or go back to get tortured, raped and slaughtered. WTF business is it ours anyway? All we did was invade a few countries and lead to the destruction of existing infrastructure of a huge swath of the region.
