John Banner was a very good actor and quite affable: the total opposite of smarmy Bob Crane. I do find it endearing.

Trump never apologizes. Even on the rare occasions when the words “I’m sorry” come out of his mouth he says them in a way that makes it abundantly clear that the only thing he’s sorry about is that he had to say it.
Trump has been the object of ridicule and revulsion in the UK for a very long time. People of a certain age remember the time Trump claimed Prince Charles and Princess Diana had applied for membership in his Mar-A-Lago club. It took Buckingham Palace all of three hours to debunk his claims.
