So how many of our closest allies with which Trump has picked an unnecessary and foolish fight does this make?
Trudeau is far smarter, more experienced, and domestically and internationally popular - not to mention younger and better looking - than Trump is or ever could be. But he doesn’t satisfy Trump’s fetish for autocratic strongmen, so Trump can’t recognize his strength.

There’s some truth to that. Edmonton knocked out San Jose and Ottawa knocked out Boston, but US teams won the other three match ups in the first round. Maybe he was talking about poutine, that stuff is nasty.

Any “surplus” that Canada has with the U.S. is almost entirely due to the strength of the dollar against the loon… and creating a trade fight with Canada will lose U.S. jobs from all the places Trump where has sworn to bring jobs back. I hope the folks in the rust belt that voted for him enjoy all the winning.
