Discussion: Trump Chooses Admin Official To Fill Kavanaugh's Appeals Court Seat

OT, but the madness accelerates as Einstein weighs in…

Don’t know a damned thing about her. But I can pretty much guess what sort of [unjust] judge she’ll be, based solely on the fact that Trump appointed her.

Does Trump know she’s not a blonde?

Did Malaria sign off on this hiring?

Well thanks Melania! Getting rid of some Bolton fool for us over some silly bullshit about plane seating and her griftting tour worked out after all!

The real power behind the throne. (Actually, it’s airplane seats but you get the picture.)

Well, she did get stuck on the wing, after all…

Looks like she got a window seat. I guess they wouldn’t let her on the plane with the gun.

Yep, the gun and the cheeky attitude…

Looks like she turned the other cheek.

It seems like just yesterday that republicans were complaining that Hillary would really be running Bill’s administration because she had dared to have her own legal career.

The next administration really needs to think about impeaching judges

“Rao currently serves as the administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, which is part of the Office of Management and Budget. Rao previously worked as a professor at the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University. She also served in President George W. Bush’s administration and worked for the Senate Judiciary Committee.”

Funny, I see no mention of her ever being a judge. Is that important?

I’m sure she’s been very judgemental. :smirk:

One would think – especially considering he’s nominating her for the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Decisions made at that level have very long-lasting effect(s) on how laws ares enforced in the country. Since SCOTUS takes on very few appeals each year, most decisions made in the Circuit Court of Appeals arena have staying power in our legal system.

Are they going to rush this one through like Kavanaugh?

I am willing to wager that she’ll be confirmed by Thanksgiving…

Her ass is as large as her husbands ego.

No. Some of our most distinguished Supreme Court justices had not been judges. (This is not a comment on Ms. Rao.)
