Discussion: Trump Cancels MAGA Rally In Mississippi Due To Hurricane Florence

“With Hurricane Florence on its way, we determined that this is the safest decision.”

Safe for what, Hurricane Florence? Surely a tRump rally blows more than a little Hurricane.

It’s not going near Mar a Lago or Mississippi according to this. I think Trump’s suffering from post “Fire” blues.

Remember that little note about the damage radius being potentially bigger than the track-uncertainty circle. Is DC going to get flooded?

I guess beseeching Cheeto Jesus for a break in the weather was to no avail.

Not going near Mierda Lago or Mississippi, but the flight path back to DC would be impacted, forcing him to spend a weekend (shudder) in Mississippi with his base.

On the upside, Individual-1 owns at least one golf course and a winery in the hurricane path.

IMO, he was afraid of getting stuck in Mississippi. We know that he hates the southern drawl.

I’m surprised he didn’t go with a rowboat to rescue the stranded and a shovel to shore up the levees. I guess he’ll just have to send branded products in his stead.

While useful in certain situations, I don’t they will do much to burnish his heroic reputation.

Hurricane and a tropical storm in the Pacific as well. Mother Nature is on a tear.

More than 3,000 Puerto Ricans killed in last October’s hurricane could not be reached for comment.

Reasons for cancelling:

  1. he can’t do a thing with his ‘hair’ when it rains
  2. it’s another damn female trying to push him around so he’s taking his ball and going home.

Another good break for Mississippi - it looks like they will miss both Hurricane Florence and Shitstorm Donald.

Amazing. Considering his crowd are too dumb to get out the rain and take their heads out of the sand, it seems a perfect venue.

Invest 95 nearing the Gulf. 50% chance of development. Nothing quite like the peak time of hurricane season.

Wait a minute, I want a rain break. This has been a long, long wet week or two.

In my neck of the woods it’s been a long, long wet July, August, and September.

I have a low spot in the back corner of the house. Something changed and I have been dancing with it this round. Need some good weather to get out there and settle the issue. So, I am ready for a good pause.

Hurricane Florence is predicted to hit North Carolina near its border with South Carolina, move northwestward, and then stall, bringing possibly a foot of rain to the North Carolina and Virginia highlands.

With all the rain already saturating the ground on the east coast, the flooding could be terrible. (In my portion of the mid-Atlantic, in the last week alone I’ve seen about 10 inches of rain)

Why couldn’t the spokesperson say something along the lines of: “The President is concerned about the potential severity of these storms and will remain in Washington to monitor the situation.” I realize trump doesn’t think that way, but even the spokespeople can’t figure out something this simple.

Safety? The Potomac River is at risk of flooding- but that’s more of a danger to Alexandria VA, and buildings along the shoreline like the Kennedy Center and the Watergate.
