A whole network of it on Fox News, especially at that critical time. First impressions, my dear. Who hears the retraction? If your diet was faux-news, End Time hot-for-jesus Left-Behinder Tribulation / FreeRepublic / Little Green Footballs, that junk-food diet was reinforced by what google search returned to you – not because google was conspiring to do this, but because of the way the keywords tallied. (Remember making google bombs? We were on to it.) My google search and my google news page are / were different from my Rush lovin’ Brother-in-laws because of this.
We worked very hard on 13 Myths to challenge these things, but who can be heard over the shrills? Has that changed, or are we even more comfortably insulated? Sites that parade as fact-checkers too often fall down on the job, are bought by – I don’t need to tell you any of this. All this time, and we still haven’t been able to stop it.
Not that this excused Trump. He’s playing the whole country. Hate and fear packs them in.

The media would have looooooovvvvvveed the outrage that would have been generated of cheering people in New Jersey. Anyone that had a video of it would have made a ton of money by selling it. And in the days of the internet it’s much harder to scrub a news story.
It’s time to put up, Donald. Even the oh so gullible Carson has backed off of this.

I remember shock, horror, rage, the things you’d expect. People weren’t acting like their normal selves. But if you’re talking about flat-out baseless and nonsensical insanity being normalized and discussed in an ongoing way as if it were reality, I think it’s now. Lewandowski is saying an incident that would have shocked the nation happened because Trump says it happened and there’s no evidence for it because of a conspiracy among the media to suppress it. Did even McCarthy go quite that far? It’s sheer, absolute lunacy from the main campaign aide of the GOP’s frontrunner. I think it’s unheard-of.

The media was able to go back and change Obama’s place of birth, so scrubbing a few videos of cheering people would be nothing for them.

OT, but on FB one of the top trending topics for a couple of days was the ex-CBS reporter saying she’s heard that Obama doesn’t read the briefings if it makes Islam look bad. And the full on gullibility of the idiots expressing their outrage because a fired ex-reporter somehow KNOWS exactly what Obama chooses to read makes my jaw drop.
