Discussion: Trump Campaign To Meet With RNC Today In Florida

Preibus looks like he’s put on weight and has been drinking a lot.
In short, he’s getting ready to be a poll un-skewer.

“I’m the one raising that’s funding [sic], I’m the one that’s raising the money and other people are getting to use the money that I raised,” he said.

So … which one is being sent to the Principal’s Office – the RNC or Donald? And why the hell is Jesus there?

Is Priebus growing a second chin? I’m sure they are part of growing many more as long as he defends Trump.

who is anticipating the following headline?

"Trump Capitulates - Meekly Acquiesces to RNC Laying Down the Law"

… if he is elected - you can 1000% count on this headline - just substitute “Putin” for “RNC”.

“Bob, it’s just a benign lump, there’s nothing to worry about”, Doctor Fredericks intoned. He struggled to hide his knowledge, his sorrow, from Bob’s wife. Doctor Fredericks knew this was much more than a benign lump. Bob would be leaving all of us soon, and any attempts to forestall his fate would only involve great pain and disappointment for everyone that knew him. But alas, it was a fruitless charade the Doctor couldn’t ethically prevent.

And that’s what irking the Donald the most. He’s raising money that he can’t keep.

“I don’t know that we need to get out the vote,” he said in a Thursday interview on Fox News. “I think people that really want to vote, they’re gonna just get up and vote for Trump.”

I wholeheartedly support Trump’s passive approach to GOP turnout, and encourage the whole party to follow his lead!

Those that escape the body-snatching will have to cower in the cornfield.

Jesus is always getting hauled down to the Principal’s office – overturning the lunchlady’s cash register, making the water in the drinking fountains turn to wine, and so on. In this case the Principal had just finished telling Jesus to cut his hair and get a job, when Donald and Rience came in wearing their dunce caps.

That’s my guess of the situation. Priebus has backing…most importantly from big time donors…this time.

Its going to be a “time for you to start carrying your own load” conversation.

And my guess is…this will devolve into threats of lawsuits by Trump before next weekend.

I really need for President Obama to get out there stumping for Senate candidates saying, “Let’s make Mitch McConnell a one term Majority Leader”.

Here’s what a campaign committee is allowed to do with any lingering cash: it can donate the funds to charities or political parties; it can contribute $2000 per election to other candidates; and it can save the money in case the candidate chooses to run again.

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) says that campaign funds may be used in a wide variety of ways, including:
• Moving expenses (including costs associated with “winding down” an office or campaign for a losing candidate)
• Payments to Committee
• Gifts. Campaign funds may be used to purchase gifts or make donations of nominal value to persons other than the members of the candidate’s family.
Donations to charitable organizations
• Unlimited transfers to any national, state or local political party committee
• Donations to state and local candidates, pursuant to state law
• Returning it to the original donors
• Any other lawful purpose that is not considered a personal use

But here’s the age-old problem: We don’t know, the principals don’t want us to know, and the reporting is ambiguous. I just read over at The Atlantic that the Trump people, not the RNC, were the ones who requested the meeting because they feel they’re in trouble and need help. That’s not “Come to Jesus,” no ultimatum or any of that. But is that believable? You have to think the far more likely scenario is the RNC is saying something’s gotta give, this can’t go on. Question for you: If the RNC pulled the plug, what would that look like on the ground? Might not see much difference!
