That makes it sound like he came in and took the GOP over, when instead the GOP simply invited him in, gave him the keys, and then shackled themselves to his backside (so as to be in the proper posture for all the ass licking they’ve been doing). No, this is the inevitable result of the last 40 years of GOP policy choices and propaganda. And as much as the triangulators and regular-order, bipartisan both-siders will try to deny that, it needs to be shouted from the rooftops.
The only way the damage being done becomes even close to worth it is if it results in the destruction of the Republican party.
