Discussion: Trump Campaign Paid $50,000 To Law Firm Representing Trump Jr

Meanwhile Trump is saying collusion/conspiracy with a foreign adversary is normal politicking. Will he soon admit to attending the meeting himself?

If most politicians would have gone to such a meeting, why have they been lying about it for over a year and why are they still lying about it (and every other meeting or conversation with a Russian)?

Because this is what they do. Donnie & Co. continue to mistake a revitalized national news media with the NYC tabloids.

Don Jr. has been pretty quiet since the Fox interview. Unlike Dad, he maybe heeding the advice of counsel.

Is this legal? What role did, or does, Trump Jr. have in the Trump campaign? What does Trump Jr. have to do with Trump? Aren’t his legal bills separated from the Trump campaign by the fact that he operates separate from the Trump campaign by conflict of interest rules? New rules that Trump himself devised?

Expect this to be challenged in court. Trump Jr. isn’t Trump, his legal issues are separate from Trump’s, and he’s not entitled to Trump campaign donation funds in any way. Unless Trump wants to argue that Trump Jr. did in fact play a role in his campaign. In which case it calls into question the whole “separation” between Trump and his businesses.

Frankly, Trump has never tidily separated donations - from any source, for any reason - from his personal funds. This will be argued in court for years.
