Discussion: Trump Camp Lashes Out At WaPo Over Report On Foundation Payments

Maybe donors to the Trump Foundation see it exactly the way Donnie Dipshit does – a charitable foundation FOR Donald Trump. In which case, they’re happy to enable his diamond-crusted lifestyle and fraudulent practices.

Legitimate point. But I hope not. Perhaps it will depend on how much he’s willing to bet Hillary’s gonna win.

On the contrary, they caught on the first time he did it (“Mexicans are rapists”). That’s why they support him. The hundredth time just solidifies their support. Every time he lashes out, they shout hoo-rah. Deplorable is as deplorable does.

I see the fine hand of Roger Ailes at work following the Karl Rove playbook. When faced with damaging charges, deny them completely and turn those same charges against your opponent. Trump did the same thing with Clinton’s detailed charges of bigotry. He simply replied “No you are a bigot,” and the media replied, "Clinton and Trump trade charges of bigotry ". Works like a charm

Yup, the old “best defence is a good offence”.

And Donnie is soooo offensive

It’s a win-win for the IRS head. Either he investigates Trump and Hillary wins and keeps his job; or he investigates Trump and Trump wins, in which case Trump cannot fire him precisely because he is conducting an investigation into Trump.

Good point.

If Trump had all of the money he supposedly donates to charities and good causes and political campaigns… he would actually really be rich.

What interests me is a man and campaign who have no problem brazenly denying wrongdoing and reality overall, even when it’s glaringly obvious the denial is absurd, aren’t denying the charges at all. The statement was pure deflection; there was nothing in there that said Trump did not pay legal fees with foundation money. Not a lawyer but that suggests his lawyers expect to be in court over this and don’t want false statements out there that can be used against them. Anybody with expertise, please help with some background on that.

The old “I’m rubber, you’re glue” defense fits with his 3rd grade mentality.

The Clinton Foundation has an A rating. I wonder what Trump’s charity gets for a rating?
File this one under “I know you are, but what am I?!”

Yeah I was wondering if they file a 990. And didn’t we hear how superior the HO Foundation is because HO family members are running it? Are they doing it for free? If not, how does the Fraudation properly separate itself from HO’s “businesses”?

They’ve got to go after this story full-blast. This one could sink the whole campaign. Indeed, if we hear more about the foundation’s shenanigans, it will sink the campaign, and Drumpf (and Drumpf, Jr., I trust) along with it.

The Drumpf Foundation’s rating is ZZZ.

Nah, Koskinen does not need the job, he has effectively been doing the country a favor, with the usual GOP finger for his thanks.
