At this point any story about Trump campaign fundraising should lean pretty heavily on the words “claimed” and “allegedly.” Remember, this is a guy who says his net worth fluctuates depending on how he feels on a given day.
Guess this means he can increase the charges for use of his buildings/facilities for all his events.
Since he apparently has no intention of paying the minions who have been toiling for him for months (e.g., those policy folks in DC etc) it just means more cash for Trump’s coffers! Yippee!
The $97 million was for total combined cash on hand, campaign + RNC. The campaign did not report its portion of that total. Because like everything Trump, it’s very tiny.
Trump is the only Presidential Candidate I have ever heard of who PAYS HIMSELF A SALARY from the Campaign.
His entire campaign seems to be just a way to get other people to pay for his lifestyle. He charges his Campaign for EVERYTHING and then only has events at his own properties, where he then charges the campaign outrageous fees.
He sees it as a way to fleece the rubes and stick his thumb in the eye of the REAL Billionaire donors who he simultaneously hates and longs for the approval of.

Right on. This “$90M” sounds dubious to say the least. Now, granted, the Mercers must be banking him to an extent but even that must have its limits. If you’re telling me that the contributions are small ones from the rubes, then it’s definitely not $90M.
