Kavanaugh, who has denied the accusations of any sort of misconduct, will probably not find any presidential arguments, about the severity of what happened, to be helpful.

I donât think thereâs a single Republican who has issued an unequivocal denial on Kavanaughâs behalf. Clearly, they think he is guilty, but I wonder if there is some message coordination, where people are told to leave open the possibility that Kavanaugh tried something, but it wasnât legitimate attempted rape.
The message discipline is so tight I really suspect something.

Yes, something reeks to high heaven there, and it seems unlikely that despite all the public lying, Republicans have not gotten the truth out of him behind the scenes and now see spinning as a more viable option than denial.

The thing that I found most striking about that comment is the way it just drips with condescension. Just absolutely vile. And I can just hear him saying exactly that in my mind at one of his cult gatherings.
I guess peepee got one of the Secret Service guys - a loyal one of course - to run to walmart and grab him a burner phone. I asked when he was given SS protection during the campaign: Would you take a bullet for this cretin? I donât think I could even take an angry look on his behalf.

One of the best points this article mentions is that she only told her husband and therapist after 30 years and 6 years before Kavanaughâs nomination to SC. Second best :"âŚBlasey wants the FBI to investigate her charges â and that Kavanaugh, Donald Trump, and Republican senators do not."

OK. Alternatively, you could read the posted tweet that I was responding to, which stated that the 1982 FBI wouldnât have handled cases like hers. I.e., it was an obvious joke. However, as you seem to be fairly new around these parts, I will forgive you this time!
The truth is all Republicans know how bad it is. Thatâs why theyâre hiding information, and ganging up on Dr. Ford.
If it wasnât that bad, or if it didnât happen, then why not let the FBI find out and say so?

When I was 15, the neighbor boy lured me into his house on the premise that his mom was giving away some books and asked if I would I like to look through them first. He asked the friend who came with me to stay outside because it would just be a minute. I followed him to his parents bedroom where he said the books were, and pushed me on to the bed. He offered me money to take my shirt off- of course I refused and threatened to scream and wake up his baby sister and he let me go. Did I tell anyone besides my friend? No, of course not- it was something that happened that I just had to deal with. Teenagers donât immediately think of going to adults - whether they are embarrassed, ashamed, uncomfortable or scared.

One of my daughters was the victim of a misdemeanor sexual assault. Some school administrators chastised her for the manner in which she came forward, while attempting to sweep the matter under the carpet. The experience scared her out of filing a police report for almost another year, well beyond the statute of limitations.
I have little patience for Trumpâs ignorance on most issues, but none on this issue.
